The right stick batting I'm getting the hang of, but pitching is still tough for me.
I highly suggest you try and practice to master it. Trust me, its so rewarding once you get it. Try going into the pitching practice, thats how i learned. Its a one-two motion every time. You either push down and push back up to a certain direction, push down then push to the side or push down and spin the analog stick.
It really does make the game alot more fun.

Does the direction of where your 2nd motion go affect the direction of the ball? For example, if your second motion is to the right, will that help the ball go to the right(I say helps, because I imagine timing affects it too)?

If i understand what your asking right, your answer would be no. Even if you spin'd the analog stick to the right to throw a curveball, a right handed pitcher is only able to make the ball curve downward or down to the left. If you get what im saying.

No. I meant in terms of hitting.

Yes. If you flick the joystick right or left then the ball goes to LF or RF.

How close is the demo to the real game? I tried playing the demo, and I couldn't even get through 2 innings before turning it off. Wow. The outfielder throwing thing was literally the only thing I enjoyed. The new pitching stick thing sucked, and I don't like how I have to swing as the ball is leaving the pitchers hand with the swing stick. I was suprised at even how lackluster the graphics were on the game. Really suprised me.
