GTA was never 'owned' by Sony. In fact, it came out on a Sega product before the PS2, it was on Dreamcast. Sony had a 'timed exclusive' on the title, meaning that if it were going to be released on another platform there would be a certain time period before that could happen. Which in GTAIII, VC, and SA's case was 8 months. With the new consoles, new licenses were available. Rockstar (makers of the game), decided NOT to do any exclusives for this title, because of how big the Xbox 360 had become, it'd be stupid no to put it on it. So, Rockstar (not Microsoft) decided that they would do both platforms. Sony however, made a deal with Rockstar stating that they can't release the Xbox version BEFORE the Sony version, or else the 360 version would actually be out already... thus killing the PS3 even further, but thanks to that contract, Sony stays afloat. So, GTA IV will be released on BOTH Xbox 360 and PS3 on the SAME DAY. BUT... The Xbox 360 (and Xbox 360 only) will have EXCLUSIVE 'Episodic Content' from 2008-2009. What is 'Episodic Content'? I pretty much means more story, weapons, missions, possible available areas. What does Sony get out of all of this? Well, nothing from GTA IV, but they do get a brand new exclusive franchise for the PS3 in 2009. BACK TO BASEBALL. (if you would like to discuss further, dig up the GTA thread) |

How about lets get back on the subject... Just watched the videos and read the hands on...I really dont know how I feel. I mean watching it, the graphics looked great like last year, but I didn't see enough, like are all the throwing animations new because last years sucked ass. The swinging animations looked like they have been change and the animation adjusts to where the ball is in relation to the batter which looked good. I still don't like the home run cut scene, the players running look absolutely retarded and same in the between innings when it shows them running in from the outfield.. I will have to see more to make a decision but right now the show still has my money first

^ I cant play the show since its playstation exclusive so 2k8 is my only option. I dont notice any change in the games yet. Im sure the controls are a bit different. Ill definently buy 2k8 because i need a baseball game to play during the season. |

Just watched the clips and thought it looked the same as 2k7. One thing I noticed was more signature batting stances for the players. Like in the rockies and d-backs clips CoJack had is batting stance and so did Reynolds. The graphics look the same, I really would like to see more fielding play then anything else though because that is what fucked up 2k7. Honestly, baseball games are what I mostly play and if 2k cant get shit straight after 2009 and my 360 keeps having issues I would not hesitate to buy a PS3 for MLB the show which has obviously been the superior baseball game for the last 2 years. Remember something about 2k8 though, Brinkman said everything would be cleaned up by 2k9. 2K9 will be the finishing product for 3 years of work since the faliure that was 2K6. I excpect 2k8 to be improved from 2K7, but I dont excpect 2K8 to be "Great". |

Im suprised how in the video that was shown, they actually showed an OF continue to just run into the wall and bounce off of it. That really looked bad. |

This is why owning rights exclusivly sucks balls lol Seriously though I wish we still had MVP right now, MVP 05 was the best baseball game ever made, hands down. Now everything is fucked up. Football is gone and Madden now blows, Baseball sucks unless you own a PS3 and can get The Show. Luckily NBA 2k series is still amazing because that is really the only truly GREAT sports game out there. |

The new pics 2k has up look really nice. Check out the Boston - Tigers screen with Verlander pitching. There's a sports ticker at the bottom. ![]() And, can anybody explain to me how you use a USB flash drive to upload stuff to the game(I saw something about it at OS)? |

Doesn't the 360 have USB ports? If so that would allow one to upload stuff into the game like new rosters and stuff. That would be a great addition if it's true. Can I get a link? |
