Preview: The crystal ship sails forward November 6, 2007 ![]() On the last ECW on Sci Fi, John Morrison moved one step closer to re-obtaining the gold when he won the No. 1 Contender’s Match against The Miz. This week, the Shaman of Sexy has the opportunity to finish the job when he takes on ECW Champion CM Punk. In their last title match, the Straightedge Superstar emerged victorious, but before that he had a string of bad luck against the Tuesday Night Delight. Will Morrison bring his old form with him? Can he unseat CM Punk as ECW Champion? Also on ECW, Mark Henry notched a win in the brand’s Monster Mash Battle Royal. The partnership between ECW General Manager Armando Estrada and SmackDown Acting GM Vickie Guerrero has proven to be influential, as the self-proclaimed Silverback reigned over all other beasts in the battle. Jimmy Wang Yang was also in action. How will the deal continue to affect the Land of the Extreme? Find out the answers to these questions and more on the next ECW on Sci Fi on Tuesday at 10/9 CT. The ECW Title match should be good, but i expect Punk to retain the title for possibly the last time. I wouldnt be surprised if Morrison won tonight, but i dont think he will. Who cares about the rest of the show.... |

Results: Monsters continue to roam By Andrew Rote November 6, 2007 ![]() BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Monsters are still on the loose in the Land of the Extreme as ECW on Sci Fi kicked off with two of them when Mark Henry faced Kane. Kane, who will be standing across the ring from Big Daddy V at Survivor Series in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match, along with Henry fittingly took part in last week’s Monster Mash Battle Royal, managing to outlast Big Daddy V and The Great Khali as the final two competitors. When the Big Red Machine attempted to attack Henry from the top rope, the self-proclaimed silverback caught him and virtually tossed him from the ring to earn the victory. Henry didn’t necessarily get the better of Kane this time, though, as he was disqualified for bringing a chair into the squared circle. Still, he took pleasure in squashing the Big Red Machine onto the chair after the bell sounded. Later Tuesday night, in a match created by The Miz to continue making Kelly Kelly's life a living hell, Layla dominated the blonde. Balls Mahoney rushed to his favorite Diva's side, aiding her just one day after Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix made easy work of her, as well. Mahoney and Kelly were left on the canvas while the “chick magnet” refused to enter the ring for a confrontation and instead left with his loyal Diva. (WATCH) In other Tuesday night action, Jamie Noble came to the Land of the Extreme and left with a win. Nunzio proved to be short of having what it takes to defeat the SmackDown Superstar, who presented our fans with a video he made before the match. Noble has been forced to face giants in Undertaker and The Great Khali, thanks to SmackDown Acting General Manager Vickie Guerrero. His video, however, allowed the public to see what he can do when he faces someone his own size. His Superman-like depiction in his bout with Rey Mysterio proved what he is allegedly capable of. Fresh off of his Ghost Hunters experience, Elijah Burke earned a convincing win against Shannon Moore. The victory marks the second consecutive time he has defeated a SmackDown cruiserweight on ECW turf. The night ended with the ECW Championship securely in CM Punk’s possession, but the Straightedge Superstar has more to worry about than ever before. The Miz crashed the main event title match between Punk and John Morrison, distracting the Tuesday Night Delight and showing the champion he won’t be able to fend off challengers for his gold one at a time. Both the self-proclaimed “chick magnet” and the Shaman of Sexy won’t rest until Punk’s waist is bare again, and each of them is the man to do it. (WATCH) More on this story… ECW was bad. The ECW Title match only got about 8 minutes. I liked Noble's performance on ECW. ECW needs something to catch my interest. Lets hope they care about giving a title match a good amount of time, next time they have one. |

Preview: Survival's serious November 13, 2007 ![]() With the 21st annual Survivor Series this Sunday, all forces in the Land of the Extreme are focused on survival. That focus includes Superstars from SmackDown too, as Survivor Series kick-off week explodes on ECW on Sci Fi. The match originally set for SmackDown this Friday has been moved to the Land of the Extreme after an agreement between Vickie Guerrero and Armando Estrada. Thus, in preparation for the pay-per-view showdown, MVP & Mr. Kennedy will face The Hardys in tag action to commence tonight's show. Days before they collide in the Traditional Survivor Series Tag Team Match on Sunday, these four men will experience a Survivor Series prelude in the Land of the Extreme. Which team will survive? Will it affect the action, live this Sunday? A few others with Survivor Series on their minds are those involved in the ECW Title Match, namely champion CM Punk who faces Jamie Noble tonight in a rematch from Friday Night SmackDown. As first announced on WWE.com last week, Punk will defend his gold against both John Morrison and The Miz in a Triple Threat Match at Survivor Series. Judging by recent weeks, it doesn’t look like Miz or Morrison will let the other be the man to dethrone the Straightedge Superstar. Will some solution emerge or will CM Punk continue to hold the gold as the two envious men cancel each other out? What last measures might each of these men take, just days before the high-stakes championship encounter? Love hurts. Kelly Kelly felt that firsthand on the last ECW on Sci Fi when she was left nursing her wounds at the hands of Layla. Kelly hasn’t had much luck in her recent contests, suffering quick defeats to Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix and Layla in the past week. It appears as if she’s serious about doing some damage in the ring. Moving forward, will she improve on her performance? Will she or Mahoney be looking for revenge on The Miz and Layla? |

Results: Pushing Punk By Andrew Rote November 13, 2007 ![]() WICHITA, Kan. – ECW Champion CM Punk added another win to his tally since obtaining the gold, but it didn’t come without repercussion as John Morrison and The Miz attacked the Straightedge Superstar just before ECW on Sci Fi went off the air. More on this story… Champions kicked off the night, as well, as WWE Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy & Montel Vontavious Porter found themselves on opposing sides for the second consecutive night. On Raw just 24 hours earlier, The Hardys & Rey Mysterio earned a victory over MVP, Mr. Kennedy & Finlay. Matt did nothing to help his fellow champion when his brother covered MVP for the victory. In the Land of the Extreme, however, MVP & Mr. Kennedy had better luck in tag team action against the Hardys. After Kennedy caused Jeff to take a nasty spill, MVP covered the unconscious Hardy for the win. To say the least, Matt looked none-too-happy with his regular tag partner. Kennedy then went for a chair to further demolish Jeff, but with all eyes watching, MVP suspiciously aided off the attacks to help his partner's brother. Later in the evening, Matt Striker found himself face-to-face with the Big Red Machine. He explained that Big Daddy V is supposedly recovering from the flu and resting up for his Survivor Series contest, adding that his behemoth protegé will demolish Kane and his team on Sunday. Kane burst into the ring and taught Striker a lesson. He was left eating canvas, courtesy of a chokeslam by the beast. Did Daddy get the message Kane relayed through Striker? Will he be ready come Sunday for the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match? Speaking of Survivor Series, we were given a sneak preview of the 10 Diva Tag Team Match when Kelly Kelly & Michelle McCool took on Layla & Melina. The blondes ran away with the victory, perhaps foreshadowing a positive change to Kelly’s recent hard luck since taking on more match participation. Hardys vs MVP & Kennedy was an ok match. It was much better than matches we have seen on TV recently. ECW needs to get more wrestlers because ECW sucks right now. ECW needs some new talent on the show. |

Results: Heating up for the holidays By Andrew Rote November 20, 2007 ![]() TAMPA, Fla. - Kane overcame the odds on ECW on Sci Fi, earning a win in his Handicap Match against Big Daddy V & Matt Striker. But after the bell, the duo stuffed him like a turkey and ended the night on top of the world. (WATCH) Read more on this story… Earlier in the evening, our fans received an early present for the holidays. Elijah Burke ushered in Shelton Benjamin as ECW’s newest roster addition. It didn’t take long for the former Raw Superstar to make an impact. He defeated ECW Original Tommy Dreamer, pleasing the brand's self-proclaimed Guiding Light. Burke announced he once led the charge to change the Land of the Extreme, claiming he is now doing it again. If a new Superstar wasn’t enough for our fans to kick off the holiday season, a scorching hot fight between Kelly Kelly and Layla certainly was. Layla addressed the Tampa, Fla., audience, boasting that she is better than Kelly in every way possible. She also made sure to give thanks for The Miz and his decision to arrange a catfight between the two Divas next week. Before Layla could finish, Kelly attacked her and started a food fight that would make any Thanksgiving dinner fail in comparison. (WATCH) ECW Champion CM Punk kicked off ECW on Sci Fi, riding his white hot winning streak for another night. The match also displayed the continuance of the agreement between ECW General Manager Armando Estrada and SmackDown Acting General Manager Vickie Guerrero. In other Tuesday night action, Kevin Thorn returned with his new look to ECW on Sci Fi, earning a convincing win against Nunzio. WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz also offered their commentary while Jesse & Festus bested Deuce & Domino. Thank god Benjamin is in ECW now. This is just what Benjamin needed to show he is a good wrestler and he deserves a push. I didnt see much of ECW so ill watch it later and skip through the bad parts. |

Shelton will be a huge pick up for ECW. I bet he and Punk will have some great matches if they cross paths, and with the small roster, I'm sure it will happen sooner than later. |
