I are beast.

Mets and catcher Yorvit Torrealba go their seperate ways. I didn't think he was a good fit for the Mets anways. He had a pretty fat agreement contract though 3yrs 14.3mil I think it was.

There was a report that Yorvit was going to join the Mets, or the 2 sides were "really close" to a deal

But talks between them collapsed and Yorvit will not be joining the Mets

" This one just came in from Tim. Dominican sports website Impacto Deportivo is reporting that the Mets and Luis Castillo have agreed to a four-year deal worth $25 million. They say to expect an official announcement shortly."

Well that means the Stros will be trying hard to get Iguchi, although this may mean Chris Burke will finnaly get his chance to start :)

Eckstein, the 2006 World Series MVP at shortstop, apparently is looking for a contract comparable to the four-year, $36 million deal Julio Lugo signed with the Red Sox last December...

1. Even his agents have been lead to believe that he's good.

2. If somebody gives him that, I will buy a [insert team name here] Eckstein jersey, cut my nuts off, and wrap em' with the David Eckstein jersey. Then, I will proceed to mail my package to Eckstein himself. Either that, or I will cry of laughter while IMing NGO.

Im pretty sad that there have been tons of rumors in chicago linking Eckstein to the Sox. Appearantly he has the same "grindiness" that Erstad had. Ugh.

I never said anything about Lugo. Both are gonna be overpaid, especially Eckstein, who has played an average of 120 games over the past 2 seasons.
