Milledge to the Nats for Brian Schneider and Ryan Church.

Schneider replaces Estrada who will likely be dealt in the next few weeks.

Did Milledge get diagnosed with some sort of terminal illness? What kind of move is that by the Mets???

:o Minaya traded for white players!!!

Further proof that there is an alarming shortage of Afro-American players in the MLB

He was a top prospect in the league like a year ago... and he still is now...

Dumb move by the Mets, they should of tried to package him in a deal for Haren if Beane would of made him available, or tried to get something from the A's in general, Beane loves Milledge.

Wow. Mets Officials REALLY know how to build some PR after that terrible finish. Trade away your star prospect for a 4th outfield, and backup catcher. Wow.

The Mets waited too long to deal off Milledge. Oakland and Baltimore were not gonna deal Haren, Blanton or Bedard for him.

You could call Minaya a dumbass for dealing him 2 years too late.

They would of had to added a top level prospect for those pitchers which I doubt the Mets have.

Nah, Milledge has fallen in Billy's eyes and the Mets don't have the studly pitching prospects it would take to bring in Haren.

While Church isn't as terrible as JCM seems to think, and Schneider was brought in for defensive reasons, the deal still sucks. Milledge could give you the same offensive production that Church gives you, and possibly better. And if the deal was made for Schneiders' defense, then Minaya deserves his nuts cut off.

I believe Milledge is gonna turn into a stud, and his breakout year could be 08...

Especially considering, like NGO said, they could have gotten SO much more for him a couple of years ago.

I think Minaya's true 'brilliance' is being exposed...
