Why are the White Sox looking for a bench player? We have 2 3B, 2 SS, and 4 outfielders. We should be looking to dump Uribe and someone, and try to swing a CF or SP for Crede.
I think it's just about time to bring up the Ervin Santana for Joe Crede talks again.
It would work out for both teams, I just know Santana is going to end up being much better than last season and at this point, Anaheim just needs ANY 3B that's been decent for awhile now.

That'd be great. I have always been an Ervin Santana fan.
How bouts we make it Crede, Lance Broadway, and Gio Gonzalez for Santana and Willits.
But im cool with Crede for Santana. Crede, if healthy, is an allstar player, and he is blocking Fields. Santana is a young SP who would be nice to replace old man Contreras with.

That trade sounds decent enough for me but I don't think the Angels would give up Willits for anybody, not even mentioning Broadway/Gonzalez/Crede.
Then again, I could be just stuck in a Bill Stoneman state of mind.

Well i only say that because I heard Willits may be available now because of the excess of outfielders. Garrett Anderson, Vlad, Willits, Gary Matthews Jr, Torri Hunter. Anderson I imagine would DH, but that's still 4 starting OF'ers for 3 positions.
And as I see, Santana looks to project to be the 6th starter with Joe Saunders at #5. Yes?
This might mean Santana would be a rather easy had, and Willits might be available considering Hunter, Matthews, Vlad, and Anderson. It's worth a shot considering Gio has been GREAT in the minors and is looking very good. Lance Broadway is above average, but probably not more than a #4 or #5 starter, and then Crede, if healthy, has shown how great he can with with that awesome glove and good power.

For my sake, I hope not.
^_^
Sarge and Anderson are a little old for my liking. Out of those 5, the only ones i would take would be Willits, so that's where our need for him comes in.

Yeah you're right, they are quite old.
I don't think anyone would take Anderson right now, Matthews maybe but Garret, nooo.

Now that I look at Santana's stats, this trade seems even to me. I thought Santana had been doing pretty decent (ERA around 4-4.5). I didnt know he has done so bad the past 2 years, ERA of 5.76! His value has to be really really low right now.

Talks about Konerko being traded to the Angels. Possibly for Ervin Santana and Reggie Willits or Chone Figgins.
I would say offer Konerko and Crede, for Santana, Shields, Willits, and a minor leaguer.

At least that gives some meaning to the Swisher deal if the Sox trade Konerko. I'm still scratching my head on that one.
