SF rumor... http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...ort=MLB&ID=4484I do not like the sound of that. Timmy is going to be great, him and Cain are going to be a great one-two punch...I wouldn't be able to live if I saw Lincecum go. If someone has to go get rid of Lowry. I don't want him to go, but he's the worst out of the big three.
You guys do realize what kind of position players you could get for him? Tampa bay has supposedly been willing to depart with Delmon Young or Carl Crawford for Timmy. That would be one of the best moves by the giants in a long time, you have the pitching already, you need hitting, sure Timmy is going to be a stud and him and Cain would be one of the best one two punches in the league but at what cost.
No, forget trading him. Load up on SP and then sign a hitter, they have plenty of money.

Why trade a future star SP for a hitter when they can just sign a hitter since they have plenty of money.

Who do you suggest they sign on the FA market then?

But both L.A. teams are willing to give him more then the Giants will be able to.

The amount of great pitching available on the open market isn't near as much as there is hitting. It is easier to acquire great hitting than it is great pitching, as great pitching is very scarce. Look at the FA market.
So why trade away that great studly pitching?

Neither are worth it, in my opinion.
As already said great hitting is a lot easier to come by than great pitching. We have two monsters developing right now and I wouldn't give that up for the world. If someone has to be moved, move Lowry. I'd prefer to get someone in FA. A-Rod, Fukudome, Hunter, Rowand, Alexei Ramirez, whoever it is, it would be better than giving up Lincecum for someone.
