So long, and thanks for all the fish...

5-Game win streak, oh yeah. Last 2 games we've been without Arenas. We won by 19 points, and then by 15 points. And our 15 point win would've been more if we hadn't had a lineup of Mason/Young/McGuire/Songaila/Blatche in for the last 8 minutes.

Our young guys are really impressing me so far. Blatche is just a monster, he'll be starting before the season is over. Young is already a nice scorer off the bench, and if he works on his defense, he could take Stevenson's job. McGuire isn't great on the offensive end, but he's already one of our best defensive players, and is probably our best shot blocker (Blatche and Haywood will block more shots, because they're just so much taller, but I think McGuire is our "best" shot blocker). I still haven't seen Pecherov play, and he's out for another month or so, but hopefully he'll be impressive, as well.

I dunno why Roger Mason is on the team. He's not very strong or fast, he can't jump, and his jumper is just ugly. He does have pretty good handles and court vision, but his physical (and shooting) limitations prevent him from contributing anything to the team.

Look at Blatche's stats the past 3 games (where he's started).

Last night vs. Utah:
19 Points, 13 Rebounds, 4 Blocks, 3 Steals, 2 Assists

Wednesday night @ Toronto:
12 Points, 7 Rebounds, 3 Blocks, 2 Assists, 1 Steal

Tuesday night vs. Toronto:
19 Points, 8 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 2 Steals, 2 Blocks

I just do not get why year after year this team does not go out and acquire some sort of star in the offseason that would put us in NBA Final contention. For 4 years, we have been just 1 player away. So frustrating.
