There is no mess for me because I only shave before I take a shower. I rarely cut myself, only happens if I am really in a hurry. Plus if you cut yourself a lot then the blade is probably dull. |

Electric razors are for wimps. The only excuse for getting one is if you've had a major accident of some sort and tore a fairly large piece of your skin off. |

Straight-edge is the way to go. No electric razor, no matter how thingy it is, can get as close to a regular blade. No way. No how. And if you really want a close shave, go to a barber and have them shave you with an old school blade. |

I know those blades work the best, but it scares me because its so huge and looks like it will cut my face open, haha. But think about it, how would a mechanical thingy work better than a sharp blade? |

I use electric, because I hate shaving period, and the more time it takes the angrier it makes me. Electric is not on par with a regular blade, there's no debating, but it's easier and quicker, and the difference in how close it gets is not able to be seen, especially from normal distances. |

But when you shave with a blade you get to have this happen to you, because the shave is so close....
