Does the BlackJack have wi-fi? I noticed just now that the Blackjack is $99, same as the Blackberry. So maybe I will get the Blackjack. Hmm...

Yes. The BlackJack and Dash have all the same features I believe.

Do you know what 3G means? I'm looking at phones at At&T.com and some of the phones have 3G next to their name.

Upon further review, the BlackJack DOES NOT have Wi-Fi. That's really odd. My friend was just on his phone today, and we were trying to get on the internet, and he was able to bring up the schools WiFi, and we tried to crack the password. I dont get how he could have searched for a network if the phone has no WiFi?!?!?!?!!? ;) It does have GPS and Mobile TV though.

What provider do you have? BlackJack is AT&T, Dash is T-mobile.

I have AT&T. My friend has T-Mobile and it is crap. His phone is out of service all the time.

Did I wake you, motha fucka!?

I work for AT&T now. No, the Blackjack and Blackjack II are NOT wi-fi, but there is a version of the Blackberry Pearl that is. The iPhone and the AT&T Tilt are the only one's most stores will carry that ARE wi-fi.

I currently have the first version of the Blackjack, and have been rather happy with it. I was thinking about the Blackjack II, but I think I'll wait to see what comes out around late Summer, early Fall. I want something touch screen, but I also like the QWERTY keypad. My only options from AT&T are the LG Vu and the 3G version of the iPhone due this or next month.

BTW. 3G is the service connection for phones and wireless devices. Currently in the US, the highest you can go on a mobile device is 3G; offered by AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and just recently T-Mobile.

Depends on what you want to do.

If you want my honest opinion, I'm partial to the Blackjack II, just because the first Blackjack worked out for me. BUT, people have an issue with the roll-wheel on the Blackjack II, and feel more "at home" with the mouse feel of a Blackberry. If you're getting any of the phones, keep in mind while you DON'T need it, they're gonna offer you a data package, which allows you to send emails back and forth, as well as browse the web, all unlimited for 30 bucks additional to the plan. For 50 you can get unlimited text with it as well. You don't HAVE to, but to be eligible for the mail in rebate, you will need either an unlimited text (or family text) or a data package. However, once you get your rebate you can just tell them to take the feature off.

I like the Tilt, but I'm not a fan of the "delay" when you rotate the screen it gives. Very cool and easy to use phone, just expensive. 400 in store with a $100 mail in rebate (MIR).

The Tilt is $150 online refurbished, so that is cheap. But my situation is a family plan, unlimited text (family). Am I eligible for the rebate? Or would I have to get a data plan? Also, what do you mean, you DON'T need the data plan? Can you use the internet without it, or is it only accessible with the data plan? Thanks for your help.

Refurbs, no. No rebate. See online notice.

Data package you don't need because if you just want to use it as a phone, you can do that and just go about your normal life. HOWEVER, when you use email or internet, it will either give you an "error" message or you will be able to, but you'll get billed per KB viewed. So say, you are on UnitedSportsForums.com, what's gonna happen, is you're gonna get billed per picture that pops up by it's KB size.
