I know refurb doesn't give rebates, but with rebates, some new phones are the same price as the refurb ones. Questions: 1. What exactly is the AT&T Promotion card? I read the little description, and is it basically a Visa card you get that ONLY can be used to pay my wireless bill? 2. Is it possible to buy a phone online, without having to buy a plan? I just want to buy a phone and continue using my account and number. But it wants me to buy a separate and new plan. 3. What is your opinion on the Q? 4. About GPS. Is it possible to pay by the use? Meaning, can I pay for it when I need it, which is rare, so I don't want to pay a monthly charge. I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but by answering them, you are saving me a trip down to the AT&T store, which is always so busy and I hate waiting in line. Thanks. |

1 - That's exactly what it is. It's of no use to you outside the store. Only redeemable at a Corporate location, not Authorized Dealer. 2 - Yes. People do it all the time. Just pay the outright price. But keep in mind, when you 'upgrade', you never change anything (number, plan, features, etc.), the only thing that changes is you're renewing your contract for 2 years. 3 - If you're looking at it, it's not bad, but personally, I'd go with a Blackberry over it. The Q was Motorola's answer to the Blackjack. 4 - No. Only option is the $10 extra a month through AT&T. |

I think I'm going to go with the Blackjack. I thought it was more expensive than it is. So I wasn't considering it, but it's the same price as the Blackberry, and I compared the specs and the Blackjack is better. |

One more question, how much does the upgrade typically reduce? I want to know if it would be worth it to wait for the upgrade or not. |

I've been with Verizon for the last five years. Anyways, last Friday I got the new LG enV2 with my new contract and "New Every Two" for $129. It's a killer phone, better than the last piece of shit I have for over a year. ![]()

I thought the envy was a touch screen. |

Nah, that's the LG Voyager. It's the next step up from the env and Verizon's equivalent to the iPhone. |

Oh yeah. My brother has the envy. I hate how there's exclusive deals with phones. But I am thinking of getting the Tilt, which is like the same thing as the Voyager for AT&T. |

My buddy just bought the Swipe (I think?) from AT&T last week. It's nice as well. |
