I drink your milkshake

Name: Matt Ryan Position: QB College: Boston College
Height: 6'5 Weight: 218
40 Time: 4.90
2007 Stats:
388-654, 4507 yards, 59.3%, 31 TDs, 19 Ints, 127.04 rating

Strengths: Matt Ryan has the intangibles to be a quarterback. His size and knowledge are his two strengths. He is a great leader for any team. Doesn't get raddled very easily. He is very confident in the pocket, and has the mobility not to get sacked.

Weaknesses: He doesn't have great arm strength. His accuracy can be very streaky, as shown with his 59.3% completion percentage. He has a little gunslinger in him, but doesn't have that many interceptions. (He threw a lot of passes last year.) He doesn't have that much potential. Ryan will be a team manager, never a franchise quarterback.

Projected Round: Top 10.

Kavorka's Take:

Fun Fact: He is nicknamed Matty Ice.

Rock God, God of Rock, Tom Petty

Matt Ryan is an excellent leader who can take control of a game at any time. He’s leaving Boston college polished and NFL ready. He has excellent football smarts and instincts. Ryan has very good pocket mobility; he can constantly buy more time for himself if the protection breaks down. He has great mechanics, footwork, and technique.

At times Ryan can be streaky. He lacks big upside you want to see with a player this good coming out of college. His arm strength and accuracy are questionable. He can be reckless at times and throw costly interceptions. Ryan also lacks athletic ability.

Better late than never.
