Gotta love Miranda

Zednik did the right thing by immediately skating to the bench or else he would've lost more blood.

There was a similar accident that happened last night in the Wild-Oilers game, but fortunately, the skate only got the player just beside the eye.

The skates are basically moving knives around the rink. It's really surprising these accidents don't happen that often.

The NHL didn't make visors mandatory after the Bryan Berard incident and multiple eye injuries before and after that, so they're not gonna make neckguards mandatory after this.

Hockey players are the toughest athletes in sport. And they don't like putting that title in jeopardy.

Yea pretty much, they would rather be tough. Its probably gonna take someone actually dieing before they start making things mandatory. Its only a matter of time before someone dies from a fight or something like this.

It took 10 years to make helmets mandatory after Bill Masterton died....

If I was the NHL Comish I'd probably make them manditory by next season. Although in the NHL it seems to take a player dying before any sort of significant saftey additions are made.
