I've always been in favor of putting like the best programs in and have them play it out in the field of 64 or what ever, even the big time colleges that are underachieving. One might look at it and say, "well, why eliminate the mid majors" I think they should be in the NIT, who no one gives, gave, or will give shit about. |

So you don't believe in rewarding teams for playing well? Instead you want to see the same teams every year whether they earned it or not? What if you have a Duke, UNC or Kansas team that is under .500 or only a few wins make the tournament? Why not put the best 64 teams in the tournament, not the best historic programs? Wouldn't you rather have the best field/tournament possible? |

If Michigan State stops playing down (or up) to the level of their opponents and starts playing their game, they're a final four team. Honestly if that team can just do that, they'd be scary. I do think though that SI got the 1-3 seeds right though. After that I'm not sure. |
