It's spring training. Chill. Even the Drew Hensons of the world can look like superstars.

That's one thing I don't get. How can teams make the decision  to call up a guy, say a journeyman, who has had absolutely no success in the majors, based off 1 month? Let alone 1 month of exhibition games where nobody is close to full throttle. It's nonsense.

Wherd. I can't see how JCM is afraid of getting Lowry after one shitty game this spring.

I don't want to trade him anyways...I'd rather keep him. Good back end of the rotation starer.

Yes, but this isn't just "working out the kinks". As NGO pointed out, this is a terrible sign if he cant even get near the strikezone. I mean, he had 87 walks in 156 IP last season. Only 6 guys had more walks than him last year, and 4 of those 6 had at least 200 IP.

ST or not. 9 Walks, 2 WP, and a ball thrown into the stands is not something that "just happens" in the spring, it's a huge red flag.

I wasn't referring to Lowry in particular, but he did bring that up in my mind.

And I would not expect Lowry to struggle with walks like last year. Look at his career BB totals:

That's crazy, and you can expect a huge regression. Unless he's had some sort of arm problems, which I haven't heard of. Calling a guy "crap" based on one outing isn't something an aspiring sports writer(which is what i think u want to be?) should do.

Crap was in reference to his performance. "For that crap". Crap = outing, lack of control

Well, you did say for THAT crap. You would be trading for Lowry, not a spring training outing.

Yes, but I dont want to trade for that crap. I dont want to trade for a guy who walked 9 batters in just over an inning. He has arm problems written all over him.

Because of one bad outing, in a game that didn't count, he has arm problems written all over him? Wow.

There are guys that have bad performances like this in the majors during the season and that doesn't mean they have arm problems.

That's a bit of a reach in my opinion.

Lowry said the wrist problem has been bothering him since early in spring training. He also bristled at talk comparing his situation with that of one-time St. Louis pitcher Rick Ankiel. Lowry, who went 14-8 with a 3.92 ERA in 2007 before a bone spur in his left elbow cut his season short in late August, took exception to the comparison.

....ok
