The M's dumped Horacio Ramirez today finally, I still can't believe Bavasi traded Soriano for him, what a joke.

It's too bad too, seeing as Soriano could be one of the top closers this season with the Braves.

Could you imagine now, Soriano setting up for Putz? :o

Yankees and the Rays had a benches-clearing brawl today when Shelley Duncan slid into second with his cleats up at Akinori Iwamura.

No video from what I can tell, just pictures.

In other news about the Yanks, I heard that one of their special coaches was hit in the head by a ball in batting practice.

Yep. Heath Phillips hit the a Rays batter. Then Duncan slid into Iwamura with his cleats "in his crotch". After the dirty slide, Rays RF (can't remember the name) tackled Duncan to the ground, and the fight began.
