United Sports Board Rules- United Sports is a Forum designed to have intelligent, mature discussion and debates over sports. That's exactly what we intend it to be. You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Act mature and contribute in the Sports Forums.
- You are not allowed under any circumstance to have more than 1 Username without permission from an Administrator. If you make a spare account, it will be immediately permanently banned. It may also add on punishment to your original account. If you are banned, please do not make another account. Serve your punishment. If not, chances are it will increase in length.
- Under no circumstance are you allowed to sway posters to another forum be it from posting or Private Messaging members. If you are found doing this it will probably result in a suspension. A second offense would likely consist of an IP ban.
- The limit on your avatar is 125x125 pixels. If you use a larger image, it will be scaled down in size automatically.
- Do not make posts for attention. We're here to make posts for feedback. Making a post to try and start fights is not allowed, as is posting topics specifically to provoke a negative response.
- Please use common sense. Spell words to the best of your ability and please attempt to use respectable grammar. Know where the right forum is to post your threads. Just use common sense in all aspects of this Forum. If you wouldn't want it done to you, don't do it.
- Things can get pretty heated when you're discussing sports, but there's no need to make it personal. Anyone who engages in name-calling, personal attacks, etc. will face disciplinary action. Keep the gloves up. Don't take shots unnecessarily at other members. Discussions and debates are OK, but we don't need flame wars.
- Please do not allude to an example of your favorite team in every single sports topic. It's annoying, and no one really cares. That's what we have the Official Team Threads Sub Forums for.
- Keep outsiders out of your posts. There is no reason to involve someone not a member or a subject in the forum.
- You may not impersonate another member or create an account specifically for the purpose of provoking other users. Also, accessing or using someone else's account or attempting to access another poster's account without theirs or another Administrator's permission is strictly prohibited.
- Post in a mature manner. If you want to have a middle school conversation, I'm sure there is one in your town not too far from you. Please be respectful of everyone else. If you don't like someone, fine. If you think someone is butt ugly, fine. There is no need to go overboard and make fun of them continuously. None of those comments are needed and are unappreciated.
- Unless it's offering insightful discussion, please do not sway threads off topic with a bunch of useless messages. Keep the thread on topic especially if you don't have anything useful to say about the subject.
- Whether it's Rosie O'Donell, Paris Hilton, or Jessica Alba, we really don't care. Posts containing pornographic material that is sexually or otherwise obscene is not permitted on these forums.
- You will not violate a person’s privacy by publishing information that is private and personal against another member’s will.
- Keep offensive language to a minimum. We understand if something doesn't go in favor of your favorite team, but don't go overboard. Simply editing a few letters with an asterisk or other symbols isn't allowed, either. A simple rule to follow is: "when in doubt, leave it out." You don't have to use excessive profanity to get your point across, and it's usually better to avoid it altogether. Vulgarity directed at other members is strictly prohibited.
- Purposely spamming a message board with senseless, vacuous, or empty messages to increase your post count is highly frowned upon! Please make well thought out posts.
- The limit for Signatures is 500x200 pixels and five lines of text. Also, attacking other users through your signature is definitely not allowed. Please refrain from doing so.
- Please remember two things when on these boards. Firstly, not everyone is like you and has the same beliefs as you. Secondly, although people on this message board of certain race, gender, etc. may not be offended by certain jokes you may make, others might. If you see any posts that you deem offensive, please report them to a Moderator or Administrator and they will be dealt with accordingly.
- Please do not make posts LiKe ThIs wItH eVeRy OtHeR LeTtEr CApaTiLiZeD, or type in ALL CAPS IN EVERY POST.
- Trolling into parts of the Forum prompting flame wars with fans of sports or teams is strictly prohibited. Can't stand a certain team or sport? Fine. No need to attack fans of it. They enjoy it, and it makes them happy. That is all that counts.
Thank you for following the aforementioned guidelines. By abiding, you are making every member's experience at United Sports more enjoyable.
