I love Doug Glanvile. Drafted by the Cubs, plus he was a key acquisition for us in the 2003 season when we were 5 Outs away from the World Series. |

To explain my vote for Rose, to me the list is who is the best hitter, it was a tough vote, but ive always thought he was the best Hitter Now hitting to me isnt all homers and RBI's, its who is the best at getting on base, he did it more than anyone, and he has the 2nd longest hitting streak. He beat out Aaron and Williams by a .001 in my vote. And Aaron beat Williams on my list because he leads in all time Homers(f.u.c.k. bonds) and RBI's. Now if Williams didnt leave because of the war, he would've been the greatest, but we may never know. dont flame me, thats just my opinion of it. |

What in the hell are you talking about? Pete Rose is 204th on the all-time career OBP list. Combine that with a 604th rank in slugging %.....and is that really a top 10 hitter? I mean, he's not even top 100th in batting average(rank-170, which is "decent"). Ever think he got so many hits because he's also first in career PAs? Edited by sportslover, Sun Jun 8, 2008 1:01 am.

Whats so funny about Rose making the top 10. The guy with the most hits shouldnt be a surprise in the top 10 whether you hate him or not. |

Rose will probably be in the high 20's, low 30's on my list. Don't let the hits fool you, his on base percentage wasn't as spectacular. |
