How about that his career .375 OBP is nothing spectacular? It's good, but not legendary hitter caliber. Not Williams-en or Ruth-ian. His .409 slugging % is nothing impressive either. 604th all time. That is not a top 10 hitter either. The only reason he's the all-time hits leader is because he's also #1 in plate appearances. Hell, in batting average he's ranked 170th all-time. What was that Infallable? You wanted to know what his EqA was? Well, if it's adjusted for all-time (which is putting every player in a neutral playing field, I think the year being used is something close to 1975), then here is how it looks: Pete Rose: .289 EqA Ted Williams: .359 Babe Ruth .363 Now, even if you hate all things EqA(and I'd much rather use wOBA), you can see it's not even fucking close. There's a huge difference between having a lot of hits and being a legendary hitter. |

Alright guys Phils is going to recalculate the points (I love him for that) so as of right now expect to have to make some changes to your round 2 lists (11-20) for those that have turned it in. Phils will have it done tomorrow, he is doing a auto sum in excel or something so it should not take him long, he just needs a little time. Edited by dbacksfan, Sun Jun 8, 2008 5:57 pm.
