I think if possible the best thing for the Wizards would be to sign him and then trade him for young players. This will be hard to do because he is an unrestricted free agent.
Sign and trade ftw!! Arenas might agree to that. His lust for the money could work in Washington's favour. Most team's won't have enough money to pay him the max on a FA contract so they'd have to work a sign-and-trade to get him. Where would he go though? Phili and Indiana come to mind... can't think of any other teams that would want him. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Wonder if they could work out some sort of deal with the Pistons? Doubt it but I like the thought.

My guess is he'll land in Los Angeles, playing for the Clippers. The Clippers have a TON of cap space with Brand and others coming off the books, and their primary need is a guy who can create his own shot. You could also see Sacramento make a run at him if they get rid of Artest.

Maggette won't be going back to LA so they'll need a guy like Arenas. I think if they show big interest in Gil, it'll persuade Brand to stay with the Clippers. That would be a pretty solid 1-2 punch. Not to mention Kaman as well. Sounds good.
Don't see him going to Sacramento though. Him and Martin are similar players, and I also don't see Ron Artest leaving, despite all the rumours.

Arenas will also only play for a team where he will play PG. I would not take him on my team. He should be a SG, is a ballhog, defensive liability, and just a self-promoter.
