I remember someone saying this would exactly happen, years ago at 2K about Haren and Mulder. Somebody said Mulder would get injured immediately and Haren would become an ace. Maybe Machine. Anyways, getting back onto the real topic, this might just be the end for Mulder. |

I, again, missed the Sox game, but appearntly Q broke out of his power slump. He hit his 20th and 21st HR tonight. I think that ties Hamilton for 2nd, but I have not looked up the HR leaders in a while. 4th straight win for us. Puts us at 16 games over .500. Thank god the Red Sox swept the Twins. I think we are back up to 4 games ahead now. |

I never thought Haren was an ace, but I thought he should've been at least in the majors. but they kept him in AAA, and traded him for Mulder. but I should be grateful for the WS and not gripe.... And ill go ahead and say when Carpenter makes his first start back he will get hurt in the 1st inning. Ok Cubs fans, we feel the pain of Prior and Wood now, happy!!! |

I watched the whole game on WGN. I noticed something about Arroyo while I was watching. Arroyo's ERA+ has like fallen 32-33 points each year he has been with the Reds. In 2006 when he arrived he finished the year with a 142 ERA+, in 2007 he finished the year with a 110 ERA+ a 32 point decline, and so far this year he is on pace to post a 77 ERA+ which would be a 33 point decline. Of course their is no telling where his ERA+ will be at the end of the year but just wanted to point out how much he has fallen since 2006. |
