There have been rumors of all of the following to be the lead singer.

Chester Bennington
Axl Rose
Chris Cornell

I would prefer Cornell and think he would fit best with this group.

Yeah. I think Cornell would be a great fit for the band ... but I remember a while ago (not sure if it's still floating) but a Soundgarden type of reunion. I don't really see how Chester Bennington fits in with that type of rock.

Wow, I really hope they don't pick up Bennington. You might as well stick a fork in them if they do. I know he joined Velvet Revolver on stage for a few songs, so the rumor can go either way there.

Chris Cornell on the other hand would be an incredible fit not only from a musical standpoint but they should be able to relate with more factions of the public. This would go up as one of my favorites if he joins.

Axl Rose sounds like shit now, Chester wouldn't fit in IMO, but Cornell would be perfect.

Then again, I'm in love with him, Soundgarden and Audioslave.

And, I also have heard a few rumors of a Soundgarden reunion so it may be happening. Would be great if it did cause they will for sure come to the Northwest and put on a kick ass show I'd imagine.

I think Cornell wants to go solo for a while. Despite the popularity of Soundgarden, when they broke up, he was relatively unknown -- no one knew he was the LS for them.

Now, after Audioslave put him back out there (with a little more focus on him) he's selling pretty well as a solo act, I think.

Anyway, I really hope he doesn't work with VR -- that would just be awful.

Cornell would be the best out of those three.

I don't think it would be awful. He definitely has the voice for VR's sound (unless they want to go in a different direction), and I think it would be interesting to see what he could do with that group.

However, I don't think he's the overall best fit. I haven't figured out who I think is, but I don't think it's Cornell.

I think he'd be fine with VR, but, being a Chris Cornell fan, I would hate to see him join up with them. That's what would be awful. I can't stand VR.
