http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=778949 It's sad as shit to see him go. The guy did so much for the team and was great for Barca. Indisputably the best player in soccer during his prime. I idolized him, too. Oh, well. The guy has completely fell off and is nothing close to what he used to be. Can he retain his form? Sure, but it's not a risk Barca should take, and we got a good 20 mil euros for him. We still have Messi, Bojan, Iniesta, Xavi, and hopefully we keep Eto'o. Barca will go out and get another Ace anyways. Someone like Fernando Torres or Villa. |

Why has he just fallen off like that? How could he just go from the most dominant player to nothing close to that? This is actually a real question, I like soccer but don't really follow it since there's hardly any coverage outside the big tournaments. |

Injuries and too much partying and not enough working out. That's something notorious for soccer players, especially Brazilians. They get out of shape due to staying up all night partying during the off-season and regular season, and lose their form. Look at Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Adriano, and back in the old days Garrincha. You could tell he wasn't the same ibefore christmas but he still carried the team, then he got injured.... |
