Let's use this thread to discuss the awesomeness of this movie without spoiling it for others who have not seen it. EDIT: Oh, yeah, and if you haven't seen this, don't be retarded enough to click it. Edited by sportslover, Sat Jul 19, 2008 10:40 pm.

You guys think Two-Face will return for the next film or did Nolan kill him off for good? I hope he comes back. Personally, I thought he was fantastic and he was only there for a small portion of the movie. As for his death, the fall was only like 20 feet. Hard to believe he'd die from that (not that it has to make sense -- it's a movie, but....). They also never really mentioned that he was dead. They showed his memorial, but who knows, that could be a cover up. It's also been rumored that the Riddler will be the villain for the next movie. As for whoever it was that said that once you see this you'll realize how bad the other Batman movies were......perfectly put. |

I think he's dead. I think the ending was perfect (though at first I thought it would be better to have Two-Face live). If you listen to the speeches that Gordon has, it all makes sense. Everything comes together at the end and makes perfect sense. By the way, I noticed some of that the second time I saw it and I loved it. It was so perfect I couldn't believe it and couldn't believe I missed it the first time. I loved it. I just loved how EVERYTHING came together at the end and made sense in terms of the franchise. To be honest, I really think that this movie could stand on its own (you don't have to have seen Batman Begins to understand any of it). It is just about flawless and really doesn't even have to be a Batman/superhero movie. It's just an amazing crime drama with action in it. So awesome I can't even get into it. As for a sequel, I think Nolan wants just villans that are realistic. Think about it, none of the villans have been super weird or unbelieveable -- al Guhl, quite a real take on a bad guy; Scarecrow, OK a little out there, but still based in reality; Joker, a fucking psychopath that wears makeup? Sure, I can see that; Two-Face, totally believeable as his mind was twisted by a psychotic with his own agenda after Dent's body (and emotional state) was damaged and unrecognizable. I think Nolan has done an unbelieveable job with this franchise. He had a vision of what he wanted to accomplish in his trilogy and has done a tremendous job setting it all up and building to what he wants to show. |

Yeah, some of the unrealistic villains have been thrown out the window by Nolan (like the Penguin). He wants to keep it as realistic as possible, which is great. Nothing was worst than fucking Batman and Robin with Mr. Freeze.

Awesome movie. Two-Face was amazing, I hope he returns. You should have heard the crowd when they first saw his face in the hospital bed. I loved it. Heath Ledger nailed the role as Joker. He made the movie what it is. As for the third, I read Nolan wants to bring in a realistic villain that hasn't been in any of the Batman movies yet. Not sure if that's true, just read it somewhere. Hopefully Dent comes back though. The movie also has already made 157 million, which beat the old record for opening weekend of 151 by Spiderman 3 and that's not counting todays revenue. It also broke the IMAX opening weekend record already. |
