I'd like to see the Mad Hatter in the next film, with Mr. Dent of course.

I also wouldn't mind them bringing back Jim Carrey to play The Riddler. The production of Batman Forever was horrible, but it was Carrey's role. With Nolan at the wheel, Carrey as Riddler could have a 'Ledger' like performance IMO.

And, best quote:

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." -Dent

I agree with M's, that would be sick to see Carrey back as the Riddler.

Really? I hated Carrey as the riddler. I would rather them grab Daniel Day-Lewis or a more realistic option in Christopher Walken.

I have heard from people that they best Riddler is already in the cast in Gary Oldman. I can't say I disagree with them.

The Jim Carrey Riddler was over acted. If he can tone it down and play it a serious role (like he's been taking on as of late), I think he'll be a perfect fit. Then again, it'd be kind of weird to have movies with Joker and The Riddler back to back. Not that they are alike, but they are ... in their own psychotic way.

Ya, I would rather see Madd Hatter, Hush, or Anarky.

A lot of that had to do with that piece of shit Joel Schumacher.

Like you said, a serious Carrey would be money. Or, maybe even Robin Williams who can be serious at times. Robin wanted the Joker role in both Batman films.

Personally, my #1 choice is to bring in the Mad Hatter, he would fit in nicely in this new modern day Gotham.

That was The Riddler as Jim Carey, not Jim Carey as The Riddler. No way for Carey to come back.

And thankfully Nolan is smart enough to know that shouldn't happen. Chris Nolan has my total faith in whatever villan he wants to use and whatever actor/actress he picks to portray him/her.

I don't break character until after the DVD commentary

Just saw it again and liked it so much more since the shock and awe has passed a little and I could actually watch the movie.

The whole sequence between Dent and the Joker in the hospital is the stuff legends are made of. I think that's the scene that will live on in retrospective shows as the defining part of the movie. The maniacal sociopath introducing the champion of justice to broken insanity. He just reels him in, converts him. Motives, intentions, character, and nature are laid down without anything left to hold them back. It's just so....pure, honest.

And then there's the whole summation, from the Joker's final speech hanging upside down, to Dent's rambling about chance and cruelty, to the final moment's between Batman and Gordon. Haunting, introspective, poetic, amazing.

My only complaint is that it builds kind of slowly, which is why I needed to see it twice to really be able to "watch" it. That, of course, is totally worth it.

Thank you. Those were my favorite parts in terms of film-making (I had individual little pleasures like the magic trick, etc...)

Yes. The hospital was by far my favorite part/speech next to the interrogation between Batman and The Joker.

Fuck. I just love how The Joker was done. He makes the sane, break to insanity. Making up rules as he goes along to make people do it too. So fucking brilliant.
