My current whip is an automatic. My next car will most likely be a stick shift though... auto is boring.
I was mad when I first got it, but now that I'm getting the hang of it, it's a lot of fun.
Try driving in traffic with a stick shift.
SF would be the most fun...hills and traffic. Yuck.

Driving in traffic with a stick shift is the fun part. If you're driving on an open road, once you hit 4th or 5th gear, it's no different than driving an automatic.

Driving a stick is an art. Heel-toeing, rev-matching, perfect shifts, hill driving, etc. You have so much more control over the vehicle. If only I had one :sigh:

What kind of whip you rolling in PT?

1988 Prelude.

Before you laugh, let me tell you that it is beautiful (outside or somewhat faded interior, a few rock chips in the front, and a small crack in the windshield). The guy kept it in great shape and had regular maintenance done to it so it runs great. The only problem is that it'll need a transition is a year or two. It's not that bad since my dad can get it at cost for me and do all the work himself. My parents were telling me today that they might pay for that and a new timing belt and water pump (both things it'll need down the road, but my dad can get it all cheep so he'd rather do it now) after my cousin buys my mom's old Saturn. I'm taking the old deck out of my mom's Saturn so I'm good in that department (it's only a couple years old) and I'll replace the speakers too, but my buddy can get me a deal on those because he does a little work at a car audio place and can get me a discount.

Plus it's fun to drive, it gets pretty good mileage, and it was cheap, so I won't complain.

I'll snap a couple pics and post them.

Oh yeah...it has black wheels (or as you hip kids like to call them, rims), which I'm iffy on, but I might be able to get my cousin's old wheels for free.

It's dirty right now...

No pictures of the interior...it's just stock and boring and I haven't put any the deck in yet.

If anyone has any speaker or interior recommendations I'd appreciate it.

My current car is an auto, cause I take long trips and am lazy, but I've driven many manuals. My next car in a couple years will be an Impreza and it will be a manual.

Nice car PT.

I'm not a fan of ricers, but I actually like Preludes. They are pretty rare, especially the older ones.

As for interior speakers, are you looking more for bumpage and bass, or vocals and clarity?

Also, you need to tint the windows! Go 15-20%.

In a couple years.

I'd sell my current car. To my sister or something.

I was gonna buy an Impreza this time, but my insurance would have been $375+ with my two tickets left until 2009. Now, with my two cars it's only $210 a month and the car payment is only $250.

And, what's wrong with a white kid with tinted windows? Not only are mine tinted, but they are so dark they are illegal in 47 states.

The area he lives in is what is wrong with the windows, haha.
