Dayton and Xavier are each overacheiving to this point. Both were in expected rebuilding years for their great programs, but have each run the table thus far. I really like Duquesne as a surprise in this conference. Rhode Island and Richmond should be decent barring a late season collapse. Of all teams, St. Bonaventure may be competitive this season. Charlotte is the tough luck team. Massachusetts has incredibly underacheived, and Fordham is just terrible. |

This past year in Rhode Island is going to be labeled "what could of been".. Had the Rams just... 1. Held on to a 5-point lead with 1 minute to go at Duke 2. Held on to a last minute lead against Providence 3. Prevailed in Triple Overtime Against Saint Joseph's Rhode Island would be 15-3 (2-1). URI would have wins over... Road Duke Home Virginia Commonwealth Road Penn State Road Providence Road Saint Joseph's And the 3 losses would be... Villanova @ Oklahoma St by 4 Home Xavier by 2 Rhode Island has played one of the most BRUTAL schedules in the nation, and had they just held on to last minute leads they would be looking like one of the very strongest 3-loss teams in the country. Damn shame because the Rams could do some damage in the NCAA Tournament if they ever got there. |

Good points on Rhode Island. All those close games lost to good teams will likely cost them an NCAA Tournament berth when they're worthy. I think the Atlantic 10 will finish 1. Xavier 2. Dayton 3. Duquesne 4. St. Joseph's 5. Temple 6. Rhode Island 7. LaSalle 8. Richmond 9. UMASS 10. St. Louis 11. St. Bonaventure 12. George Washington 13. Charlotte 14. Fordham |

Temple wins back-to-back Atlantic Ten Championships with a 69-64 win over Duquesne. Fran Dunphy definitely has revived the Owls. |
