http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8882368/Sources:-Braves-look-to-deal-for-ChiSox's-Vazquez?CMP=OTC-K9B140813162&ATT=49 I hope this happens because I am sick of Javy. He has great stuff, and good peripherals, he just can never seem to put it together. He can dominate a game when he is actually putting that shit together, but more often than not, he gets kicked around by teams. As I understand, neither Reyes or Lillibridge are that exciting of players, but at least we trim $12 M from payroll and get 2-3 young players with potential. EDIT: Braves Get: SP Javier Vazquez (32) RP Boone Logan (24) White Sox Get: 2B Brent Lillibridge (25) C Tyler Flowers (22) RP Santos Rodriguez (20) 3B Jon Gilmore (20) Edited by JoeCoolMan24, Wed Dec 3, 2008 4:32 pm.

So I guess Jo-Jo Reyes is no longer in the deal. Fuck. I don't want Lillibridge to be the best player we get back. |

Now I am hearing it could be Tyler Flowers included along with Lillibridge and one other. YES PLEASE! Flowers is the Braves #5 prospect who hit .288 last year in A-Ball and had a .427 OBP. He also hit 17 HR and hit 32 doubles. This kid is only 22-years-old and is supposed to be pretty damn good. His only weakness seems to be his defense. |

Seems like following the AL Central Division Championship, the White Sox are going the direction of rebuilding (or getting younger) this offseason. Not that that's a bad move because I don't think they would have repeated in 2009. |

I think it's a good example of a team wanting a Pitcher so bad, they overpay for one. |
