His price in the last 4 years are a bargain, and then his price the next 3 could be the biggest bargain in the league for someone not in their rookie contract.

Wow, that's bargain, even though last year isn't his true talent level. He's a 3.6 WAR player, which bargains for about a 6/$85 mil deal, but, that's not what the Red Sox would be paying him. For the next two years he'd be making near the league minimum, and for the 3 after he'd be making his arb value, which is usually 20/40/60% of a player's actual value respectively.

So for the next 6 seasons Pedroia would be making like $26 to $30 million dollars. The Red Sox are saving themselves some good money any way you look at it. This is how the best FO in baseball operates.

Keep cool my babies

Who's his agent?

He's making so little next season, he could have gotten so much more since he won the AL MVP.

The thing you don't understand is that he has no leverage in the case of the next 5 seasons....
