Real-time Living World

* Anything that happens in a baseball stadium happens in 2K9 in Real Time.

* Players will move from the dugout to the batter’s box and from the bullpen to the mound.

* Players warm up by throwing around the horn, bat swinging practice, etc.

* Umpire, ball boys, coaches – All onfield personnel will be moving naturally to and from their positions.

* Celebrations – Players will react properly to a regular end-game to walkoff home run, to no-hitter and World Series celebration.

* Vendors move in the crowd

* Fans react to home runs and foul balls

They appear to have fixed some flaws with gameplay, like minor aspects of real baseball. It did look incredibly stupid when a pitcher would throw a shut out, the team would celebrate like they won the WS. So hopefully they fixed that, as they said. Still think they should get rid of the cards and add a career mode.

The cards look so stupid. I do like the Real Time thing though. The demo will give me an idea of how much that makes a difference, and I really wish The Show had a quick throw thing like 2k9 will have. I hated the drawn out throws from the fielders in 08. Even with these changes, I doubt I will switch back over to 2k. The Show 08 still will probably be superior to 2k9, so The Show 09 will probably be the obvious choice again.

I are beast.

Hopefully this game won't suck ass like always. The Card feature is crap.. they really need to think about taking it off rather than adding more to it. I'd like to see them add somthing to the Franchise mode or like you guys said a Career mode. I will most likely buy it and again be bored with it after a couple of months.

I will surely buy this game. I need baseball, since it is my favorite sport and favorite sports game. Hopefully they fix the gameplay and add small things like the Show is doing, so the game is actually like a real baseball game. Good sign that they claim they have done that.

Did I wake you, motha fucka!?

Is there a reason we haven't seen any footage or pics of the game as early as we have in previous years? ... 2K under the gun with this one?

Go over to 2ksports.com and look at the MLB 2k9 forum. That's what everyone is complaining about. If anyone knows him, b-Dub put it well, and is probably what they are doing (Then again, it is 2k, and this is probably too smart for them). They are refraining from releasing info, so they build up hype close to the game (since they are now slowly releasing info with about a month and half to go), and it results in higher sales. Rather than releasing info in late Dec, like the Show, and then have people forget about the game when it is released.

I'm glad they're focusing on gameplay and realism. I want to see some more info, though. And when did they announce the release date?

In the fake commercial with Lincecum it says March 2nd at the end. I don't know when they official announced it, though.

But the thing is, if you have ANY faith in your product you'd want to at least show it to the public. They show demos for NBA almost a full year in advance.

If they're trying to do a reverse psychology, so that if they 'underwhelm' there wasn't the hype initially to do so, you're gonna see a lot of PSP and PS3 owners jump to The Show, because last year it was on par, if not HIGHER rated than 2K8.
