You know, last year was my first year with the XBOX 360. I was so ready for the MLB2K8. Man, what a letdown. First, I never play online so I dont get patchs. Well, I think everyone had issues with this game freezing. The player animations were goofy. I was so close to selling my 360 for a PS3 just for The Show. I also had the birth of my daughter which hurt my pockets. Now, I do have an option. I am still waiting to see if they can improve this gameplay.
Oh, one more thing... Does anyone know if they are still including the Minor League teams?

Is there a reason we haven't seen any footage or pics of the game as early as we have in previous years? ... 2K under the gun with this one?
Go over to 2ksports.com and look at the MLB 2k9 forum. That's what everyone is complaining about. If anyone knows him, b-Dub put it well, and is probably what they are doing (Then again, it is 2k, and this is probably too smart for them). They are refraining from releasing info, so they build up hype close to the game (since they are now slowly releasing info with about a month and half to go), and it results in higher sales. Rather than releasing info in late Dec, like the Show, and then have people forget about the game when it is released.
But the thing is, if you have ANY faith in your product you'd want to at least show it to the public. They show demos for NBA almost a full year in advance. If they're trying to do a reverse psychology, so that if they 'underwhelm' there wasn't the hype initially to do so, you're gonna see a lot of PSP and PS3 owners jump to The Show, because last year it was on par, if not HIGHER rated than 2K8. I know. But that is a reasonable reason for them holding out info. On the other hand, they could just be retarded and have a terrible marketing team. I'd bet on the latter.

LOL, 2k got rid of one idiot(Joe Morgan) and gained another(Steve Phillips).
The new commentary team is Gary Thorne and Steve Phillips.

I really don't expect this one to be different.
At times like these I really wish MVP was back.
