It's not that bad. It's better than last year, but the players still don't move fluently. They stutter at times.
Agree. This was the first year I had xbox live and was able to download the game..Here is alittle info on the demo

-You can only play as phillies or Rays
- Can only play In Philly

I didnt care for 2k8 but this game does play and feel alittle better. Fans will actually stand up and go for foul balls and homeruns.

As jrmycmpfan mentioned, the player movement is alittle off. The presentation was EXCELLENT! I dont know about you Jrmycmpfan, but I liked the Announcers for this one. Game had that real feel to it.

Pitching was alittle different and the batting was a basic pull back and push foward. No lock on targeting for hitters.....I will buy this game cause I thrive for a baseball game but I would say rent it before you buy if you dont play the demo.

Oh, what was with the dirt rolling across the screen?
Yeah, the dirt looks terrible. It is excessive, and doesn't even look real in the first place.

But the bright spot of the demo was the commentary. Gary Thorne does a great job as play by play. If the game would just run smoothly, it would be a good game.
It does run smoothly. All of the people from OS that have and have had the game have attested to that.

Well then I guess 2k smoothed the game out in the time frame between the demo and final product. That is good news.

Yeah here's a good thread where some dudes who had the final build mailed to them have answered questions:

I just read through the first post, which has all the Q&A's, and he said that the game is still awkward at times. While I was playing the demo, Howard was running through 1st base and was out, and then suddenly stops, freezes, and then turns around and runs back to the dugout. It wasn't smooth at all. Stuff like that is probably what he was talking about.

Gotta love Miranda

Anyone know if you can still use classic controls? I'm an old school guy, not a big fan of the "swing stick."

You can use the buttons, but not in the demo. There are no options in the demo.

Here's a funny video, these guys are the best MLB 2k9 players ever....

Oh my god. This game looks fucking terrible. The players are VERY herky jerky with their movements, and the sound of the bat is terrible. I do like their throwing system for fielders, but it just looks god awful. Players also look really small for some reason.

Take a look at 1:56 in the video. Is that a joke? He was aiming for the bleachers in LF and the ball was thrown in between home and 1st. :rotfl:

I saw that four or five times in the demo.

It's way better than 2K7, which is the last baseball game I played.
