I'm curious as to what people feel about Vince now, especially now that his half assed Toronto days are pretty far removed.

unlucky basically... if he was drafted by a decent team or traded to a decent team he would probably be on of the top ten players in the nba, could of been the next mj or kobe but really got the stiff end by being drafted by toronto.

really the nets should of gotten no where near the finals, & toronto (who wants to play there) has always been garbage so you know...

A very good player who never won. Great athlete, lacks a winning mentality. Inconsistent. Can dominate some nights, invisible others. One of the best dunkers ever.

That's my general opinion of him. I won't get into his departure from Toronto because I don't know all the details, nor do I claim too. He didn't want to be there and they traded him. Both sides should put it behind them.

His TOR selfishness will never be forgotten or forgiven by me, and I have no connection with the Raptors at all. He intentionally sabotaged that team by driving his trade value down to nothing and forcing a trade by his injury complaints, horrible locker room and on court attitude, and constant whining to the media. I think you're either a person who has the morals to do this, or you aren't, and if I was a GM, I wouldn't trust that he wouldn't destroy another team with his cancer.

He has an injury history. He also is overpaid, and even with the $4 mil 2011-12 buy-out, that contract will become one of the five worst in the NBA when the new economy lowers the dollar cost for talent. I'm not fond of his age either.

I think 25 teams would kill to have him.

perfectly said. As a Raptors fan, I obviously loved VC in the 'glory' days. How he ended his Toronto tenure showed who he really is though.

Obviously what he did with the Toronto things was flawed, but I've gotten over it. I think he has a pretty cool personality and is pretty fun to watch.

I was just having this discussion with my dad last night at the Nets/Blazers game.

He very well could join guys like Reggie Miller, John Stockton, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley and probably Jason Kidd as one of the best players of our generation to never win a ring. I think he still has three years in Jersey, which would put him at age 35 or so. Then, he could try to pull a Finley or Payton and pick up a ring in limited time on a deep dominate team.
