Hemsky = Floater

He is such a floater and is definitely one of the most overrated players in the league. Every time he gets a chance near the net, he looks to dish it off, or waits way too long to shoot.

Don't get me wrong, i can see that he has absolutely top end skill, but lacks that desire to finish. His skill set reminds me a ton of a younger version of Milan Hejduk, but there is a huge difference, as a young player Hejduk stepped up in the clutch. Hemsky never goes to the hard areas of the ice, and doesn't play the body at all. He reminds me a lot of Alex Kovalev, has top end skill, but rarely decides to use it.

Sure he's only 25, but his numbers are not that impressive considering the way people talk about him. This year is only the second time he's reached the 20 goal plateau in his 6 years so far in the NHL. Sure, playing with Shawn Horcoff doesn't help, but I still think this guy has got a LONG way to go before he gets mentioned as a franchise player.

I don't think I've ever seen this guy step up in the clutch.

He's never scored like some of the most important goals for the Oilers in the past 3 years.

He definitely didn't score to clinch a playoff spot.

He definitely didn't score to eliminate Detroit.

What a scrub.

Sure he floats around a bit but he's got some of the best hands in the league and is always looking to make an offensive play. I've seen him single handedly beat teams this year. He's slightly overrated by Oilers fans but he's still got loads of talent. His confidence will come back and he'll start lighting it up again.
