Was having this discussion on another board and thought I'd see what other fans had to think.

Who do you think is the favorite to win the Jack Adams? It seems to me that there are a couple of really strong candidates for the Jack Adams this year. To wit:

Hitchcock - First time the Jackets secure a playoff berth? Possibly. If so, you have to wonder if Hitch should merit some consideration having his team make the playoffs in the ultra-competitive Western Conference.

DeBoer - Doing great things down in Florida and has the Panthers poised to make their first playoff appearance in 7(?) years. Rookie coach, as well, so this would have a great 'feel good' story to it. DeBoer's also my personal favorite for the JA.

Sutter - Losing your #1 goalie for 50 games or so can put a real damper on your playoff aspirations, particularly when you're the Devils and how Brodeur is such an integral part of your team. Yet the Devils are near the top of the Eastern Conference thanks to Sutter finding ways for his team to win.

Trotz - Year after year, he manages to make the Predators competitive, even when just about everyone else in the league is prepared to write them off. He should receive serious consideration for a 'life time achievement' award. Such an amazing coach.

I think Terry Murray should get consideration even though he won't win it. I mean the kings are still playing meaningful games in March for the first time in years, and almost everyone expected them to be the doormats of the league for another season.
