What was once known as Sears Tower is now WILLIS TOWER.

Congrats buddy. I'm happy to be here for this milestone in your life.

This is bullshit. I bet Cubs fans will say "Aww who cares, it's just some old building, time to change the name"........

It's just wrong the "tallest building in the nation" has to change its name. That doesn't sound right.

Everyone will call it the Sears Tower anyway though, Willis Tower doesn't even sound good.

Hell yeah.

I will always call this thing Mark Willis Tower. Chicago got something right for once. The world better start to recognize the best LB to ever play.

The Chicago Spire project has been on hold for nearly 6 months now.

Quote:

Construction of the Chicago Spire has been slowed by the developer and will not resume normal activity until the markets improve from the subprime mortgage crisis. On October 8, 2008, Santiago Calatrava filed a lien on the project stating that the developer has yet to pay him the $11.34 million owed for his work.

There is also a chance the building will only be half the height, meaning just 1,000 feet tall.

Also, in Chicago is the Waterview Tower which looks like a 30-story parking garage and is going on 8 months without any activity.

Trump Tower and Aqua are nice though.
