I got Alicia Sacramone

I think the Orlando Pace signing is great, but I think they gave up too much for Cutler. Kyle Orton, 2 1st RD picks, and a 3rd RD pick? No thanks.

It's a great deal for Denver. They made it known they wanted 2 firsts and they got them and a QB that can play right now with a bunch of weapons. It's great for the Bears too. Whether they do anything this year is beside the point. A team that looked to be building a dynasty in the mid 80s, has wallowed in overall mediocrity for the 25 years since then, minus 1 real good year and a few really bad ones.

As a Redskins fan, I'll say it right now. If the Bears somehow get Torry Holt AND Hakeem Nicks (very unlikely), they are the frontrunner to go to the Super Bowl. The only thing that's missing on that team are Receivers

Star quarterback and star protection for him all in less than an hour. Could this be the greatest day in Chicago Bears history since 1/26/1986? I think it just might be. Dont tell me Angelo actaully wants to win again.

Who cares we gave up the 1sts? How many successful 1st Round picks have the Bears had in the last 10 years? 1 maybe? How many successful Quarterbacks?

Now aren't the Bears one of the best drafting 4th-5th Round teams? That's how they've been building that defense for years.

i'm curious to see how kyle orton does in denver. many orton supporters have pointed out the bears offense doesn't have any weapons. many cutler detractors have pointed out the broncos offense has weapons at tight end and receiver.

if orton is as good as many have said, he should really doing well in denver.

Anytime you acquire a star quarterback, it's a good move. Especially for the Bears. The Giants were the best team in the NFC last year, but they just didn't show up, plain and simple.

This year could be different as the Bears have clearly moved into the class of the Giants, Eagles, and Cardinals. Fact is this will be a very difficult team to handle in both the NFC and NFL.

On a side note, Culter grew up a Bears fan in Chicago Metro/Indiana.

The NFC is going to be VERY INTERESTING this year. And the Chargers are all but assured winning the AFC WEST for the 4TH straight year. No WC's out of that division.

Good news for the AFC in 2009, bad news for the NFC.

The Bears are coming together beautifully this offseason. For the most part the line is fixed and should be average to possibly above average depending on Pace and Williams/Shaffer's play. The QB and RB positions are set with a pro bowler and future pro bowler IMO. And I truly believe Angelo will bring in a WR through FA. It will be a sight to see when Hester isn't overthrown deep.
Angelo drafting defense in the later rounds has always been his strength, I have confidence he can bring in a starter at S/DE/DT as well as some strong rotational play. I don't see the Bears missing the playoffs.
