Would anyone say he's the most talented pitcher in the MLB -- injuries aside?

MOST talented? far from it.

One of the elite pitchers and Ace worthy? Yes I think so. I think he could belong in the 2nd tier Ace category:

Tier 1:
Beckett
Santana
Sabathia
Halladay
Lincecum
Webb
Peavy

Tier 2:
Lackey
King Felix
Liriano
Hamels
Lowe
Oswalt

IF he remained healthy I think he could hold his own in the second tier and MAYBE make a run at the 1st tier

I think Harden has more electric stuff than at least half the guys you mention. He may not be better pitching wise (although he could be, just saying that's not the argument) but stuff wise, Harden is just sick.

Lincecum. What I have seen from Price he is up there. Liriano and King Flex. When Erik Bedard is on.

I think Harden is way up there. If he was ever healthy enough to make 32-34 starts in a season, he'd make a run at 300+ Ks. He's that kind of talent. The only things holding him back are health and control, and his control isn't that awful, it's just a little rough.

He's like a right handed Kazmir, but less healthy.

Harden led all starters (>=100 IP) with 11.01 K/9. That extrapolates to about 250 K over a full 200 inning season. The only other pitcher with more than 10 K/9 was Lincecum. In 2007, the only pitchers in that category were Kazmir and Bedard. In 2006, Kazmir was the only one.
