Yeah I guess your right, no doubt Jimenez is a top 2-3 pitcher in the NL. |

Yeah, FanGraphs didn't mind all but saying he's top 4-5 today. Really far off from what I said. I'm sure you boast more credibility than them. Also, how could you spell "you're" wrong, if you use FireFox? I thought only a cripple could. |

I even agree he is top 4-5 but he isnt Haren, Lincecum or Vazquez, not even... Also Josh Johnson is having a better year then Jimenez. And I am using Internet explorer regal. |

Josh Johnson and Vazquez are having better years than him, but I take projections when it comes to player performance and team construction too. I like Ubaldo in the next 10 years over Josh Johnson and Vazquez. Of course, that assumes Ubaldo stays healthy. Because of the fragile bullpen and the absence of Manny Corpas, Tracy has really rode out as much of Ubaldo as he could in most of his starts since he took over. He's actually given up a lot of his runs in these 7th/8th innings when Tracy could've gone to Peralta or Rincon or someone (granted, not great options) instead. |

My mistake in calling Jimenez a top 4-5 pitcher. Didnt realize he was 8th in xFIP in the NL this year. While his K/G and BB/G are good at 8.2 to 3.7 pretty much all 7 of the other pitchers ahead of him have better ratios and all except Jordan Zimmerman are a whole 1.0 less in the BB category (note that Zimmerman is 0.8 less bb/g then jimenez). Not to worry, xFIP fixes the weight problems with hr's allowed in FIP regal. Idk what team construction has to do with much of anything when arguing who is the best pitcher right now and what you use to measure this on how he actually pitches on the mound or the numbers that count he produces (obviously if were using W-L records or ERA then yeah team construction is super important) but I would like a explanation mainly because this would no doubt lead to more stupid regal quotes and make my e life just a tad bit brighter. If you want to use regals magical 10 year projections (who seriously projects this far down the road, not only that but then take it into account when judging the top pitchers in the NL in 2009... 10 years ago Rick Ankiel was being regarded as the next big....... pitcher) ok thats fine but then I have the right to do it as well and I will now say Justin Upton is the mother fuckin best player in the fucking game because I like him 10 years from now over any swinging dick in baseball... |

"(obviously if were using W-L records or ERA then yeah team construction is super important)" Hahahahahaha, wow. Maybe it's what Dayton Moore uses for team construction, I sure as hell don't. |
