Universal Century: 0079, January 3 BGM As humans begin to populate Earth, the mother planet has proved to be insufficient to hold so much people. Finally people has begun to move up to space and not even until the 80th year, a war that will change the history of mankind has begun. The trigger that would tip the frail power balance between the Earth Federation Forces that rules the colonies with an iron fist, and the Colonies that gives a sharp sense of spite towards Earth. Side 3, the colony bunch located behind the moon in L2, the colony bunch furthest away from Earth, and the home of the Colony's military defense force CRADLE declared its independence from the Earth Federation. Tragedy struck that day. When the one colony at Side 1, named 30th Bunch rose a peaceful demonstration to support Side 3's independence, the colonies deployed G3 gas into the colony. Not one person survived... The inflaming tensions between the Federation and CRADLE immediately accelerated into an all out war between the two nations. At that time, not one person doubted the victory of the Federation due to their absolute advantage in numbers. Though the expectations at that time was brutally betrayed when CRADLE fielded their newest humanoid mobile weapons, Mobile Suits. In an age of Minovsky Physics, where radar and missiles no longer proves to be effective, the ability for close combat was highly valued. Mobile Suits were CRADLE's response to the Federation's attack. With little choice left, the Federation launched nuclear missiles without hesitation, while CRADLE did the same by widespread colony drops on Earth. In just a matter of days, more than half of the human population disappeared into the void. Both sides saw this war to be a war that will end humans, and thus sat down at Antarctica, famously known for the Treaty of Antarctica. Mainly prohibiting the use of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, as well as colony drops. From this treaty, both sides finds it difficult to move on any further, the battle in each and every area has slumped into an endless swamp of slippery slope. Nine months have passes since the beginning of the war, the turning point begins now. In a colony far away from the others, not well known for anything. History begins... |
