"Hmm? There it is, mobile suits! But what is that faction, it doesnt seem like something made by the Federation. But one thing I can be sure, those 2 units are not those cheap mass produced MS made everywhere. Garma, care to drop a few more units over here, might need some help." Full Frontal's sneer did not disappear, his radio was still connected to the bridge of the Gaw. Naturally Frontal's 3x speed made his Zaku much too quick to be aimed directly at, even in mid air. Taking the downwards momentum, he kicked off another canyon wall, keeping his 3x speed even in an environment with gravity. The red Zaku's monoeye blinked and Full Frontal took note of the long spear the Musha Gundam held.

"I see, a close combat type MS. That head, it looks awfully similar to the white MS with the trojan horse. What can this mean..." he wondered, without a second thought, he took charge at the Musha Gundam and actually rammed his entire body into the enemy's MS. A long weapon proves effective in mid range, but Frontal knows that it is difficult to be used well at very close distance. The booster was still on full power, the Musha Gundam seems to be tipped off balance from the impact.

The white ship shook hard, the Gaw was still flying and circling around the battleship. Although the turret mounters were trying their hardest to shoot down the quick and agile fighter jet, but they can only get 2 the most. Launching another barrage of missiles, Noa grabbed hard onto the seat to not be thrown off. However the Dopp Fighters soon retreated, most likely due to the depletion of ammunition. "Call Allen to return, his mission is to protect the Argama, hes too focused on fighting the enemies!" Noa called out, however just when he thought the Dopp fighters have retreated, more units begin to attack from behind. They were tanks, painted in the same color as the Zaku.

However the tank looked somewhat different than normal, the top cannon part actually looked like a fighter jet with a cockpit, and there were wings on it. Usually it is a design not seen on tanks, since the design was somewhat strange, Allen did not think too much of them. Even a Zaku cannot destroy the Gundam, what can a line of tanks do. "This will finish you!" Allen took aim once again, this time the beam rifle finally correctly destroyed its target. However right before the impact and explosion, the top part of the tank detached from the bottom, the beam rifle destroyed the tires and generator, but the "cockpit" top was still in tact. The Magella Attack tank flew forward and gave the Gundam a heavy shell. The impact was power as it hit the Gundam right on the head. "Wha...!! This guy!" Allen's unit lost balance and landed on its back, making it vulnerable to attack again.

"This Zaku...! Well, if that's how you want to play...!" Xanavi's right hand let go of the spear. He shut off the boosters on the legs of the Musha Gundam and applied full thrust to the main booster to keep it stable, but also to stop Frontal from simply pushing him back. The right hand of the Musha Gundam reached for something on its left thigh, a katana. The spear slid down the Musha's grip until the blade was right next to its hands. Xanavi thrusted the spear towards the red Zaku's chest, knowing that something important, either a generator or the pilot, would be inside that part of the MS.

"This Zaku isn't like the others, neither is the pilot...There's something special about it...! Cara, as soon as I push this thing out of my face, fire on it again!" Xanavi's calm expression did not disappear. This was the first time he was allowed to go into a real life battle. Things like shaking and G-forces were never accounted for in the simulations, so for a first battle this was requiring all his effort. He pulled out the katana and swiped at the Zaku infront of him in tandem with the spear thrust. For a close combat MS, being directly in its face was a complete blind spot.

The alloy blade came thrusting at Full Frontal, knowing an attack like this, he quickly tilted to the side to avoid the attack, and then the other side. Although knowing that the next move will not do much, Frontal still decided to test it. Grabbing the zaku 120 mm machine gun from the back of his unit, he pulled the trigger with one hand as the barrage of bullets battered around the Musha, with no significant effect against its armor. "Mm? Just as thought, its made of the same, or similar materials as the white MS? What are these people?!" Full Frontal then turned his screen, the pole in the center of the screen was such a nuisance, but ace pilots like Frontal have somewhat gotten use to it right now.

Seeing the silver MS that was using a beam weaponry is ready to fire at him again, taking advantage of the much larger Musha Gundam, Frontal hid his unit behind the enemy's MS. Using the Musha as a indirect shield, to stop the Jinx from firing at him. Despite Frontal's piloting skills, it was difficult to handle two enemies at once. But with this tactic, he basically do not have to worry about the Jinx, because as soon as he can catch sight of the silver MS, he knows he will be in firing range. So Frontal only needs to be cautious to not be hit, and to not show itself in front of the enemy. Grabbing the heat hawk from behind and putting the machine gun back, Frontal was ready for close combat as well. In the meantime, more Magella Attack tanks begin to appear to cover the red commander use Zaku. From a top, two more Gaw units flew overhead, and launched more Dopp fighters.

Allen got the Gundam back on its feet, pushing the unit up, he will not fall for the same trick again. However from a far, a rail of beam cannon came towards him. With not enough time to avoid, he was forced to take the powerful battleship class beam cannon head on with his red shield. No matter how tough the Gundam's shield or armor may be, a battleship's beam cannon is not an attack to be taken lightly. The beam punched against the shield, burning and melting and deforming it. Knowing if he did not do this, Allen would of been dead by now. Dropping the useless shield, he decided to pull back. "Yes, my job isnt to destroy CRADLE here, but it is to protect the Argama...!!"

"Tsk!!! What is Allen doing? Ship hull, left 30, avoid!!" Noa growled, he was strict, but in a situation like this, there was not much of a choice. The Argama tilted at a sharp degree again, the others all were ready to grab hold onto something. The tilt made one beam cannon smashed onto the cannon, the avalanching rocks smacked hard against the ship though. Without a second of delay, the other Gaw fired again, with three attack carrier attacking, the Argama was in a tight position. The last beam attack finally got its target, causing an explosion, and a crater in the white ships deck.

Xanavi didn't turn around to face Frontal directly. He knew that although his Musha was better armed for close combat, he simply wouldn't be able to keep up with an ace pilot in his first battle. Instead he simply stood in between the Zaku and Jinx, with his face looking right back at the silver MS. "Reinforcements?! Damnit Xanavi you're going to get us both killed!!" Lilium panicked upon seeing more Magella tanks covering Frontal. But Xanavi's focus didn't waver. "Shutup...! I know what I'm doing!!" He boosted forwards towards the Jinx, in what could only be seen as an attack against the enemy. "Krieger...What are you...?" Cara didn't know what to make of the situation. His beam rifle was pointed directly at the Musha, but he didn't fire.

"Listen, that bastard's using me to make sure you can't shoot him! As long as I'm in between he's free to take me on without the risk of being shot! Just fire now!" Xanavi ordered something that seemed nonsensical. Regardless, Cara did as he was told, and fired another purple shot at the Musha. The instant the beam came to the end of the barrel of the beam rifle, the Musha pushed itself to the side with one leg, letting the beam fly directly towards Frontal again, but leaving its back exposed. But as long as that silver MS was there, he was "safe" from being shot in the back.

"Hmhmhm, you fell for that." Full Frontal knew, the instant the Musha made a move, it meant that the silver MS behind will make a move as well. And the silver MS was the gunner of the two, it would be most reasonable to assume that it was less effective at close combat. "Magella squad, cover me!" he commanded, moving in the opposite direction of the Musha, Full Frontal's Zaku boosted towards the side of a canyon and kicked off it, pushing forward with its boosters, the red Zaku went for the Jinx. Frontal planned this all along, since a close combat MS, as long as it does not get in range it is much less effective. This was however not true for a MS with beam weaponry. Frontal knowing how powerful a beam rifle can be, after the battle in space, he decided to crush his enemy right here.

Charging towards the Jinx, zigzagging past the sandy land, the red Zaku was much too fast to be locked on against, and it was not an opponent that will be hit by pure luck. You know whats the best way to avoid a beam rifle? It is to not have it point at you in the first place..." Frontal charged up and swiped down with his heat hawk. What he aimed for was not the MS itself, but its weapon. The Magella attack tanks bombarded the area with steel hard shells, they may not be able to harm the Musha, but will force it to slow down.

Reaching over a canyon, the Argama continued to retreat, Allen already caught up with the ship that was slowly losing force on Earth, due to the damage on the engines. Taking aim through the periscope, Allen continued to fire the Gundam's head vulcan towards the Dopp Fighters, one to preserve energy for its more powerful weapons, two because it was more accuracy against smaller targets. Smashing down two units, the Gaw's beam cannon ripped past the steaming air once again. Allen pushed back and avoided the attack, but at a rate like this, it would only be a matter of time before the Argama sinks. Just by destroying the mobile troops its insufficient to stop CRADLE's attack, if he does not sink the Gaw that holds the air like a fortress, there will be no way out of this situation.

However just when Allen was thinking what to do, the Gaw halted their fire. Allen was wondering what happened...

After the first few shots were dodged, Cara stopped firing at Frontal altogether. Even if the Jinx theoretically had "infinite" ammunition, testing such a thing in battle would only cost him his life. The Jinx jumped back away from the Zaku's short heat hawk, knowing that the weapon wouldn't be able to damage him if he stayed out of arms reach. The Jinx pulled out another weapon from its waist; a deep red beam saber, not unlike the same one used by the Gundam again. For all intents and purposes, it could be argued that the Jinx was just a Gundam with a different appearance. The Jinx held out the red blade of beam directly in front of the Zaku to keep it away. "Krieger! I've got this one...! You do something about that bombardment!" Cara pointed the beam rifle at the Zaku from behind the safety of his beam saber and slowly backed away, one step at a time.

"Tsk...One guy and we're having this much trouble...? Lilium, who is that guy...?" Xanavi made no effort to hide his frustration at being evenly matched even with greater numbers. The Musha pointed its rifle roughly i the direction of the Magella's and fired. The shells spread out and smashed against the brown armour, seemingly ripping it to shreds in an instant. "From what I understand from the Fed's, that Zaku is piloted by a man named Full Frontal; the "Red Comet". Apart from the fact he's supposed to be a damn good pilot, I'm afraid I don't know much else about him..." Lilium watched from the back seat as each Magella was easily blown to pieces by the shots. The Musha immediately swung itself around and took aim at the Zaku's left leg and fired, deciding to put Frontal away decisively.

Frontal applied little force on one paddle, and much more on the other, knowing the shell will spread like a shotgun, the best way to avoid an attack like that is to get as far as possible. Jumping back to avoid the attack, Frontal looked up, the mono eye followed the motion and eventually catching the Gaw units retreating. "Hmm? Whats wrong Garma?" turning on the radio, he did not understand what this retreat was for. It was only one step further away from sinking the Argama, Full Frontal did not understand why Garma did not continue to push.

"Frontal, I think we might be able to capture the trojan horse. We have severely damaged their ship, if we let them off for now, and raid them when they are landing and repairing, we can capture it!" Garma sounds very proud of this plan, Frontal however was not impressed. He knows that the Argama will surely fight back even harder if they do it like this. However knowing that his "friend" was extra high in pride, he decided not to say much more. Though Frontal felt like he just ate shit and wanted to give himself a slap, sighing at the immature "prince", he decided to pull back as well.

"Magella squad, continue to spread the barrage and pull back. This is Commodore Garma Elisard's orders!" Frontal ordered, jumped back and back again, eventually disappearing from the radar range of the two MS he was facing.

Seeing the enemies pulling back, Noa gave a deep breath and suddenly slumped down. The battle was over, however Noa knew that this retreat was too much unnatural. There must be something more that might be coming against them. However, after 5 minutes, after 10 minutes, there were no more signs of CRADLE. The battle has ended, the sun was setting too however. Taking a deep breath, Noa looked around, seeing everyone was slumping down as well. The ship shook a bit, but Noa knows it was the Gundam that just landed. "Gundam, returned to ship...no enemies within sight" Allen reported.

Xanavi let out a breath of relief and let go of the controls. The Musha slumped down onto one knee as Xanavi let go, almost as a personification of how tired he was. "They've pulled back...? Well thank fuck for that...." Lilium muttered to herself and wiped some sweat off her head. Being a passenger inside the Musha, she didn't know if she was going to survive given it was her friends first real battle. Xanavi clutched the controls again and stood up, looking right back at Cara. "So where do we go about making our way to Belfast now? I mean it's not like that white battleship is going to be able to take us in that state..." Xanavi pointed down at the battered Argama. Both himself and Cara knew this.

"We're going to have to walk it from here on. We don't have any other choice, it seems. Best if we can move now, we might be there by the end of the week..." Rain spoke out from behind Cara's seat. It wasn't something they wanted to do, but both pilots recognised that they would have to walk it now rather than waiting in CRADLE territory for a taxi. Both MS disappeared over the canyons and disappeared into the sunset.

BGM

Like a dead fish, Allen flopped onto the bed. The sun has completely set, the stars are shining high up in the skies, without the light pollution of the city, stars can be seen clean and clear. He did not even bother to take a shower, just unzipped his uniform and just threw them in the corner of his room. Kicking away his shoes, one of them smacked against the window and slid down the metallic wall. He saw a trail of black smoke past the window, assuming it was where the Argama was hit. It was difficult, he did not know why he continued to fight. He heard civilians shouting outside, however his door was locked so that no one can come in. Hoping the others can keep it quite for a while he turned. His room was very, not just very, extremely messy. There was barely any space for people to walk, however he saw a plate with two sandwiches and a bottle of water on the scattered table.

There was a post it stuck next to the plate, picking it up, Allen kicked away at his stuff on the floor and held it under the window. Without even bothering to turn the lights on, he narrowed his eyes and saw the neatly written words. Sorry I could not do much to help in battle, but at least let me help you like this. Sayla~ Allen sighed and crumpled the note up. Grabbing a sandwich with his dirty hands, now recalling, he havent eaten anything since morning.

The bridge was in a hurry, Hayate returned from the turrets he was operating, however unlike Allen, his job was not finished. Originally a bridge crew, even after battle, he had work to do. Noa was hassling at this and that, shouting at the maintenance team and at the same time telling the civilians still on board to calm down and it will be alright. Although what he said was that, even he does not know when and where this ship might sink. "Taures, report the state of damage. Sayla, take care of the wounded. Hayate, somehow help me keep the civilians quite! Oh and Rie, prepare to land, we cannot keep flight for too long. We need to find some sort of a water source and land nearby for repair, find something similar nearby too."

"Captain, engines 1 and 2 have ceased functioning, the others are functioning alright however, we have lost 30% output and parts of the deck is badly damaged. We might need some time to repair this as well." Taures reported, Noa narrowed his eyes and clenched his fists. He was giving perfect orders, however he did not expect to be falling so easily into Garma's trap, of waiting for the Argama to land.

Speaking of Garma Elisard, it was about time that CRADLE has returned to their base in California as well. Knocking on the door, Full Frontal arrived at the command room of Garma. "Full Frontal, coming in!" he declared and pushed open the large red door. There was a perfume of tea that suddenly flowed out from the room. Garma seeing Frontal coming in, he stood up and began to walk over.

"Frontal, I knew you would come back victoriously. We have effectively damaged the trojan horse. They should be resting somewhere and repairing right now. When the sun rises tomorrow, we will go out and search, then surround them. If we can force them to surrender like this, then we will be able to get our hands on the Federation's newest MS and battleship! If what you reported was correct, then the trojan horse's crew members should mostly be civilians. If we just offer them a good life in CRADLE, they would most likely give up!" Garma was thinking too much, Frontal knows this sort of thinking is naive, and will kill a man. Frontal did not agree to such idealistic thinking, not because he was a pessimist, but because he was a real soldier that knows strategy.

"Garma, battle is brutal. We cannot rely on such small tricks and expect it to net us a huge fish like that. But if you insist on trying to get that ship in one piece, as your subordinate and friend, I shall support you to the best of my abilities. So then, if we're going to search for a place that the trojan horse might land, its better to search somewhere with an oasis." Frontal suggested, naturally he did not think every way his words expressed. Knowing Garma that is easy to trust people, he decided to use this "trust" to help him accomplish something that cannot be done alone.

"Ah, thank you Frontal. I am glad that I met a great friend! But, why do you assume that the Argama will land nearby an oasis?" Garma did not understand, he was not a strategist, nor a soldier in most ways. The only thing he was, was a "prince", that was using the power given from his parents to command the ground troops that CRADLE sent to earth. Though he still studied much about military strategy, at least good enough for the people to trust that he is knowledgeable enough to be in charge of an army. Though outlooks can be deceiving, whether it is to the good or bad, Garma was one of them. Frontal was surprised though, how little Garma bothered to think just when he is around.

Relying too much on a person you never ever saw the face of is not good Garma, youre too nice of a person...

"When I was chasing that ship nearby Side 7, they quickly left Luna 2. If they are leaving so quickly, and above that no other ships followed them out, then we can just assume that they were driven out. Most likely whoever was in charge of Luna 2 thinks now that I have seen the trojan horse, I will call more reinforcements to sink it, and if that ships stays in Luna 2's docks, then the entire asteroid base will be under siege as well. Therefore they decided to drive the trojan horse out and let them fly to Jaburo alone, most likely. If they were driven out, and our attack at Side 7 was swift, it should be poorly supplied. And what is the most needed supply out in the desert? Surely it is not bullets, but water. That ship should be somewhere near a water source. In a awfully dry desert like the Sonoran, the placements of oasis should be limited..." the masked man explained, like a kid Garma nodded, as if he never thought about this at all. Though Frontal was not surprised, Garma might as well continue a plan without seeing the outcomes of it.

The two continued their "chat", though Garma never saw what Frontal was thinking under that mask. And he will never get close to discovering until that day...
