BGM Belfast, capital or Northern Island. The city that was once filled with life was now turned into a large naval base controlled by the Earth Federation. Although CRADLE never took control of it, it was raided several times in the past, the resulting damage from these raids could be seen in some of the buildings, some of those on the outskirts of the city and the harbor were falling apart from damage. A few miles away from the city, two Mobile Suits that shouldn't be there approached the occupied city. "We're looking for a few documents in a city of this size...? Do you know how long that's going to take us...?" Cara privately asked Rain as the Jinx was setting itself down at a small outpost on the edge of the city. Neither Xanavi's or Cara's MS were authorized to enter the city, due to not being recognised as Federation personnel. Rain shook her head at the idea of searching the entire city. The four people assigned to finding Project Nova met up outside of their MS, which were hidden in an abandoned warehouse. "Ok. This is going to be a challenging situation we're in. The facility where the Federation are working on Project Nova are located underground, near the water's edge. That means in our current situation, we're going to have to either fight or sneak our way in. General Thermidor insists we fight. We're working ahead of the Argama from now on and doing what we need to before they get here. Therefore, we're being sent some reinforcement that will be arriving from Switzerland in 2 hours. We'll commence our own attack an hour before that arrives." Rain explained everything that she could using a map as guidance. The target itself was located next to the ship docks itself, meaning the area would be well fortified against enemy attacks, especially against 3 MS on their own. Lilium realized the odd nature of Thermidor suddenly switching their targets to the Federation. "Don't you find it just a little bit odd that this Thermidor guy is suddenly ordering we go attacking the guys were were supposed to be backing up...?" Lilium looked out at the sunlit city. Rain looked up at Lilium and acknowledged what she was saying. But as a soldier, it was never her place to question what was going on. "That's not important. What is important, however, is that the Federation have apparently tested a bunch of prototype Mobile Suits around this area because of how many attacks were sent here. I will ride with the two in the Musha Gundam. Sin Cara, I want you to lead the attack." Rain stood up and made her way towards the Musha Gundam, announcing that it was time to begin the attack. |

Everybody sat themselves into their MS and prepared their weapons. Simply walking in and firing would only result in the immediate destruction of the two Mobile Suits. The attack would have to be a rush in and be done as soon as possible. Or possibly take out everybody in the way and hold the city at ransom. Either way, what they were doing was going to make them an enemy to the Federation now. "Remember. Even though this mission is against the Federation, we need to make sure we don't bring their strength down completely. We don't want CRADLE taking here as well." Rain instructed from the side seat. "Beat the Feds, don't kill them, don't die, be quick.....Should have brought a checklist..." Cara shook his head and made his way out of the warehouse. The Musha Gundam immediately followed out. "Ok Krieger, this is it. I'll take out as many Feds as I can. You just worry about finding Project Nova!" Cara instructed and fired a shot of beam at a half destroyed building. It was never intended to hit anything for the sake of avoiding civilian casualties. However the shot was enough to gain the attention of the Feds. Immediately, gun turrets stationed around the city turned around and locked on to the Jinx. Soon enough, the rumors that Rain mentioned came true. 6 new Mobile Suits came into view from around the dock. All of them bared some resemblance to the RX78-2 Gundam, but there was some differences. The chest was red, and the head didn't feature the same type of face included in the original and Musha Gundams. Before Cara could fire the beam rifle at the new suits, another one fired from the left and blasted it right out of the Jinx's hand. "Tsk...Why you..." Cara pulled out the two beam sabers loaded into the Jinx's waist slots and prepared himself for close combat. This Gundam-like MS then did something that seemed impossible to do so quickly. Spoiler: click to toggle "That is...a beam saber...?!" Cara charged head on at the enemy MS and through enemy gunfire. The turret fire was never a problem for the Jinx, however, the MS fired through the hail of projectiles and hit the Jinx in the forehead. The Jinx shook a bit from the impact, but Cara did not stop. He charged at the enemy MS and slashed down in an X formation. The MS blocked the strike with its own beam saber and left the Jinx vulnerable to another shot from the others around it. Despite being a superior MS, on its own, the greater numbers of the enemy Federation Mobile Suits made it difficult to win. Xanavi ran through the city as fast as his Gundam would allow. There was only 2 MS standing between him and the objective, making it painfully easy to break through in a Gundam. In a swift move, the Musha jumped up and held the spear in both hands, slashing down on the white MS arm before it could pull out its beam saber. The Musha spun its spear around and thrusted the bottom end of the spear, pushing it down and rendering it immobile. "How far away from the objective are we?" Xanavi asked Rain. He was too caught up in the battle to spend time worrying about his current location. The Musha blocked a shot from the enemy MS beam rifle with its bulky shoulder armour and fired back with its musket, blowing the new weapon clean off along with its hand. "Put it down." Rain spoke out to Xanavi before he attacked the MS. "You two go on ahead. The objective is two blocks away from here, you can make it if I take these MS away from there!" Rain argued and forcibly set the Musha down onto one knee and opened the cockpit hatch. With no other option left, Xanavi and Lilium bailed out of the Musha Gundam and ran as fast as they could towards a run down building next to the dock. "Xanavi, once you're inside, you want to look around for a man named Daniel Clarke. He's the scientist that's heading the production of Project Nova. He's the one that's covered in numbers and equations. You can't miss him!" Rain communicated over the radio. The Musha Gundam sprung back to life and blocked the MS attack with the blade of the spear, which was completely resisting the superheated beam saber. God damnit....If she messes up with that Gundam we're both dead...! Xanavi muttered to himself and turned around to run. Because somebody would have noticed the blue and red P.E.S equipped occupants leaving the Musha Gundam, people on the streets would notice them and open fire, Xanavi and Lilium took to the back alleys in order to stay out of sight |

Xanavi and Lilium ran inside one of the derelict buildings. There were only two Federation soldiers on patrol on the outside, both of them were armed with machine guns. Xanavi made a motion with his hands to tell Lilium to stay where she was. Xanavi jumped out from behind the stone walls and pulled out the katana out of its sheath. A swift movement of the silver blade, and both soldiers were down with deep cuts to the back of their necks, taking them out instantly. Xanavi picked up their machine guns and tossed one of them to Lilium. The door the soldiers were guarding lead directly to an elevator underground. Even before the building was destroyed, this place was always intended to be a secret facility away from outsiders. "We're after the guy with numbers all over him. Shouldn't be too hard..." Xanavi reloaded the gun and stood in the elevator. Lilium could only mutter his name. She couldn't gather the courage to speak out against what he was evidently going to do. There's something wrong, isn't there...?" Xanavi quietly asked from underneath his helmet. "Xanavi...Are you really sure about this? These are innocent people you're going to be gunning down..." Lilium tried to put forward an argument to avoid a massacre, but the young man's mind was already set. "It no longer matters who the people below us are...! They're building a gas weapon to kill Spacenoids. That's as much as I need to judge them. They lost all innocence when they started building this, and now they'll be slaughtered...! Come along now, Lilium Wolcott. I can't do this on my own..." Xanavi held out his hand to bring Lilium with him. Secretly, he would never bring up the nerve to kill unarmed opponents on his own. If anything, he needed his friends support in order to go through with his actions. Reluctantly, Lilium held Xanavi's hand and walked into the elevator. The dull grey elevator doors shut in front of them before the elevator went down. There was only a few moments left before all hell would break loose underground. Outside, the Musha Gundam lifted the enemy MS beam saber arm up with its spear, leaving its chest area completely exposed. With little experience in piloting a Mobile Suit, Rain used the Musha's right arm to grab at the GM's neck area and rip out some of the wiring. The alone did not disable the MS as its generator was not located in the head, but it did disable its main camera, leaving it unable to see where it was going. Taking the initiative, the Musha stabbed its spear into the left side of the GM and lifted it above its ahead, throwing it down to the ground below, crushing several plates of armour and ripping up the road as it landed. On the other side, the overwhelming number of 3 GM's was too much for Cara's Jinx to cope with. The Federation pilots were not as generous as the intruders were, and immediately fired on the Jinx's chest, believing that the cockpit to the MS was located there. In a desperate move, Cara gutted the GM clashing directly in front of him just before the beam hit, blowing the entire top portion of the suit away. As the lower half of the suit collapsed to the ground in flames, the torso section of the Jinx opened up with Cara inside there. Unknown to most people, the Jinx's generator was so large the cockpit had to be mounted in the torso due to a lack of room. All of a sudden, a grey and green spiked wrecking ball smashed against the GM, tearing away a chunk of its chest. The other GM looked up at the descending red MS that launched the wrecking ball type object. Spoiler: click to toggle There was no doubt about it. The red Mobile Suit was another Gundam-Type. However, unlike the original and even the Musha Gundam, its design was radically different from the others. If anything, it looked more like something from the future. But this was not the future. The red Gundam aimed its large rifle at the final GM and took a single shot. A large blast of green beam shot out at the GM, blowing it to pieces in a single shot without causing it to risk a power down to itself. The man sat in the cockpit of his Gundam smirked and stated only one phrase. "Hmph....This Gundam Astraea is sufficient for now..." Takafumi noticed Cara heading down the elevator Xanavi and Lilium had just used. "General. Status report. Cara is heading underground right now. Krieger and Wolcott are already down there. We haven't heard from them since they went down there." Takafumi communicated with Thermidor over the radio. The man in black adjusted his black sunglasses and simply smirked. "Ensign Rayleonard. I expect you and Doctor Richtofen to co-operate in building more Mobile Suits for ORCA in the coming years. Our success in the future depends on building more Mobile Suits in order to build up our fighting strength." Thermidor spoke to Berlioz across the room. He was already busy designing more MS on paper, writing down specs and designing appearances and weapons on paper. Although he was credited for building the Gundam Astraea, he was in fact only its designer, having outsourced development to his own private engineers. "Just make sure you take Rain off the battlefield once we're done, sir. She's a good friend of mine. She doesn't belong on the battlefield at all..." Berlioz never looked up when addressing Thermidor, keeping his concentration as he sketched out various MS parts. |

Once the elevator reached its destination, Lilium and Xanavi immediately walked out, still holding hands. Before any of the Federation scientists below could run, they were gunned down in a spray of bullets. The corridors were lined with cages and splattered in blood as the two made their way throughout the labs. Rooms around the main corridor were filled with various human and animal bodies. All of them were covered in a sickly black skin, looking like they were extensively burned when observed from a distance. In the midst of the carnage, one man, with grey hair and an orange jacket. His outfit was a complete contrast from the scientists clad in white coats bleeding around him. His face also had a few equations written on the right cheek side of his forehead. Xanavi immediately recognised him as the target and ran after him. There was nobody else left to shoot, and even less actively resisting the assault. When Xanavi turned the corner, however, the scientist was being held in the air, but not by a person; Or at least, it looked like he was being held up by a ghost. "What the fuck...?!" Xanavi whispered to himself as he saw the man being lifted. "You....!! I know you...!! Vorkuta..! You know...What we did to you...!!" The scientist frantically tried to release himself from the invisible grip. The markings on the mans neck indicated he was being held up by a human, and someone was definitely there. Xanavi took a peak behind the corner and noticed brown P.E.S armour that looked identical to Cara's armor, complete with a skull carving. Suddenly, the invisible force began to speak. "Your evil has already ruined the lives of many good men, Daniel Clarke, and now it is about to ruin many more innocent lives. No more!!" The invisible figure punched Daniel in the face. There was no mistaking that voice as Cara's. The armored individual was completely invisible outside of his armour. There was no equipment making him this way, it was just the way it was. Cara noticed that Xanavi was looking at him with his invisible eyes, and promptly threw Daniel over in his direction. "Well look who it is. Xanavi Krieger...! You're just in time to see some justice in the world being handed out...!" Cara picked Daniel up off the floor and held him in a headlock. Every time the middle aged man tried to struggle out, Cara only applied more force to the headlock, making it impossible to escape. Edited by Razo Krieger, Oct 26 2011, 07:37 PM.

"Ugh...Don't you morons get it? if you think your brutality intimidates me. You clearly don't know anything about the Federation...! i have nothing to gain from talking to you..." Daniel protested while he was sat there. Xanavi looked at a broken window and broke a shard off. Cara forced Daniel's mouth open and Xanavi placed the glass shard inside his mouth. "Sorry Lilium. I'm about to do something wicked..." Xanavi sorrowfully told her and punched Daniel in the mouth twice. "Think about what you have to lose. We've got plenty of windows...!" Xanavi pointed the machine gun at Daniel's mouth to get his threat across. "Or you can tell us what we want, and we can guarantee you safety..." Cara menacingly added onto Xanavi's statement. In truth, he had no intention of letting him out with his life. Daniel spat out the shard of glass along with some blood. "I''m already a dead man... I've been hunted across every corner of the globe by since the Human PLUS project... And if you found me, then everybody obviously will... They know everything you know...They're probably on their way now." Daniel didn't seem fazed by his fate. Lilium immediately asked why, confused as to why someone would want to kill him. Daniel simply laughed at her question and answered back. The Federation don't like loose ends... I've never even dealt with any of their leaders directly." "What was the nature of your business?" Xanavi asked Daniel, lowering his machine gun the more he spoke. The air around the corner was slowly filling with a thick green gas. Cara noticed this and ran off to fetch his P.E.S. Only Daniel was aware of what it was, but his reaction was enough to make it clear it wasn't a good thing. "I was hired to help stabilize certain "volatile compounds"." Clarke's voice became more desperate as he spoke. Xanavi looked at Lilium, stunned at what was being said. "What kind of compounds?!" Lilium shouted at Daniel. All the people down there were starting to become increasingly tense at the mood of everybody in the situation. Daniel looked over at the slowly approaching gas and shouted out for his life. "Nova-6!! The biochemical weapon! That, over there, is Nova-6! The final version of the Federation's Nova Bomb! Look around you! That is what Nova-6 does to all who inhale it!!" Lilium walked up to one of the corpses and took a closer look at the blackened skin. On seeing it, she realised it was not burning, but a severe case of Necrosis. The eyes had been burnt out, and the skin was in fact rotted and dead. The foul stench of death filled the room, and made Lilium want to vomit, even inside her P.E.S. Disgusted, she walked outside the room clutching her stomach, feeling too sick to speak. "How are they planning to deploy this gas?! Where is it?!?!" Xanavi shouted at Clarke. They were slowly running out of time for interrogating him. Without a P.E.S, Daniel would instantly die from inhaling the Nova-6 "We moved the remaining stockpiles to the Bernese Alps. Someone in the Federation...Talked about "Numbers"... They are the key to releasing the gas! We implanted sleeper agents with a number sequence that when broken, was the signal to activate the Nova-6 Those are currently placed in Jaburo. The South American Rainforest based HQ of the Federation. You think we'd just drop a bomb and hope it succeeded? You think that you can do anything about Project Nova?!" Daniel madly shouted at Xanavi and spat in his helmet visor. Cara put his hands on Xanavi's shoulder and talked to him with his armour on. "Krieger, we're out of time. You worry about going up. I'll deal with this guy..." Cara pushed Xanavi and Lilium aside and grabbed Daniel by the chest. "We only care about putting Nova down! But I, I'm more pissed at what you've done to me!!" Cara walked closer and closer to the gas. Daniel held his breath as he came closer, desperate to avoid inhaling the gas. "I am Jack Rippner!!" Cara screamed at Daniels through the skull visor. Xanavi knew what was going to happen next and embraced Lilium to keep her from seeing. The gas eventually covered both cara and Daniel, who was frantically shaking his head, silently begging for his life. "...And I, will have my revenge for Vorkuta!!" Cara punched Daniel to force him to breath and threw him into the gas. Immediately, Daniel started coughing heavily and vomitting. His eyes were bleeding and his muscles were convulsing. The skin around his mouth and nose started to turn a sickly black, followed by the rest of the face and eventually his entire body. In just a few short seconds, the blackened corpse fell to the floor, killed in the gas he helped engineer. Cara simply turned around and headed back towards the elevator. "Astraea, this is Sin Cara. We've got what we need. The bastard who set up the project is dead." Cara communicated to Takafumi over the radio. The elevator went up with its three occupants, while the whole lab was filled with the sickly green cloud of death... |
