The Bernese Alps. Miles upon miles of Swiss mountains covered in snow. One month after learning the whereabouts of Nova-6, Xanavi, Cara and Arisawa Takafumi climbed the way to the top of a mountain with their gundams. With the weather approaching winter, the strong winds brought with it heavy blasts of snow that pelted to the Musha Gundam, gradually turning it into a snow covered giant. A single, asphalt covered road lead up the mountain, one which had obviously been recently cleared for someone to get up and down. Being far higher than normal, it was obvious this was where the Nova-6 gas would be kept.

"We'll deal with the Nova gas, Krieger. You can take some time off. You've done well so far." Arisawa generously let Xanavi and Lilium climb out of the Musha Gundam outside a large black door. Cara was still inside the samurai MS and took over the controls, forcing open the doors. Inside, there was only a black empty void, like a warehouse that had yet to have anything installed inside. The Musha pulled the spear off its back and walked further into the darkness. "Remember what we've come here for, Sin Cara. We need to load that gas weapon onto the Musha Gundam in time for the assault on Jaburo. We'll load it directly into the spear's blade. There's a button underneath the pilot seat that will open up hatches on either side. That's where we'll install Nova-6!" Arisawa spoke with a cold tone. He did not care for what would happen to the people in Jaburo, or the fact that ORCA was clearly using Xanavi as a means to assault the underground base. "We will be sent in on the 28th via a false capture plan. We already have a Mobile Suit lined up for you to finish the job once the gas is released." Arisawa's eyes had an evil glint in them. He knew that Cara was aware of his orders once they were in.

"This war should start coming to a close soon, right?" Lilium asked Xanavi while they were overlooking the mountain range. Despite having been in the war for just a few months, Lilium was evidently sick of going across the world in the cockpit of an MS. She, like her best friend stood next to her, wanted to return to the normal life that they had before they chose to try and change the world. Xanavi took off his helmet. The air around him was freezing cold, and he was struggling for breath on top of the high mountains. "Let's hope so, eh? This stuff is honestly getting quite ridiculous now..." Xanavi laughed a little to himself and looked down at the clouds below him. Despite being the one to volunteer to join ORCA, he was having doubts about actually going through with their plans now. After seeing what Cara did to Daniel Clarke in Belfast, doubts were being raised in his head about whether or not they were helping a bunch of madmen.

"Did Cara ever tell you about why he's....Well...see-through...?" Lilium asked a question that Xanavi knew he couldn't answer. At that moment, Rain appeared from behind the two, holding a notepad in her hands. "The reason he's invisible is because of the Human + program..." Rain's response indicated she had knowledge of what it was. Both Xanavi and Lilium replied with a flat "what", completely confused about the term "Human +". Rain flipped over another page on her notepad and continued reading. "It was a program devised by ORCA's old man, Hideo Kojima. The purpose of the program was to create a series of enhanced human beings to carry out various military tasks. Sin Cara, or...Jack Rippner, was the 12th entry into the program after the previous 11 failed. His enhancement was total invisibility, which along with the fact that he was impossible to interact with outside of his armour, also posed a significant health risk due to the suns IV rays and an inability to shut his eyes. Daniel Clarke was a freelance scientist at the time of working on Human +, and was the overall supervisor of Cara's enhancements." Xanavi rubbed his chin at what he was hearing. The idea of an artificially enhanced human being seemed completely absurd to him. Indeed, half of the people on the program went insane and killed themselves. "Hey, what you did with my Musha Gundam..." Xanavi was about to start asking Rain how she managed to pilot an MS before, given that the only other MS besides the Gundams were Zakus.

"I just learned how to pilot that thing from watching you... I guess. Ensign Berlioz keeps on insisting I should never be near one of those things, but I guess sometimes we have to do things other people don't want us to do, right...?" Rain left that statement and walked away. "We'll shout you over once we're set to go again! We should be about 20 minutes!" Rain shouted behind her as she walked back up to the others.

The instant Rain was out of earshot, Lilium grabbed Xanavi by both hands and looked right into his eyes. Although it was cold out on the mountains, that feeling was taken away the instant Lilium grabbed him. Before he could ask what she was doing, Lilium started speaking again. "Listen to me Xanavi...! These people, they're all crazy! You saw what happened with Cara, or....Whatever his fucking name is! We need to get out of here right now!" Liliums arguments sounded made her sound as crazy as the people she was talking about. Before she could continue, Xanavi interrupted her and took off her helmet. "And how do you suppose we'll do that up here? We have no food or water up here and we're in the middle of a damn mountain range..." Lilium didn't care about how they would actually get away, only that they should and do so immediately. "I don't know! We can...Jump down the mountain or something...! Either way, we just need to get away from these people!!" Lilium tried to pull Xanavi along with her as she walked down the road, but he didn't budge; Not out of a sense of loyalty to ORCA, but because he knew if he left now he would either die in the mountains or be killed by the people he was leaving.

"Lilium...We can't leave this now. We've started this operation so we'll have to finish it. Even if we did run now, how long do you think we'd last out there? Ignoring the risk of being blown up by these people, the only company we'd have is ourselves, the only hobby being snowball fights, snow angels and possibly reproducing if things were dire enough, and as I said before, we have no food or water. We'd never survive!" Xanavi dragged Lilium back in front of him. A few tears were rolling down from her eyes, and her face had turned red. "Listen to me Lilium. We have to stay with these people for a little longer. If anybody does anything to threaten you, I will take them out myself! But promise me one thing right now. Promise me you won't run away! It might sound corny and all, but half of the reason I'm doing this is for you. This isn't about "changing the world" because chances are I'm not going to see it all or live to do so anyways. All I'm doing this for is for the people I give a damn about...!" Xanavi made his reasons for for hunting for Project Nova perfectly clear. These was a moment of tension between the two friends, but before Xanavi could lean in to do the sort of things he used to see on TV, the one person that sparked the entire argument made his prescence known by shouting.

"Hey! You two down there! Hate to be a moment killer, but we don't have all day waiting for you two to finish your stupid romantic games!!" Cara's tone of voice indicated he was quite annoyed with waiting for the two. Indeed, he had been waiting for them for 5 minutes. Although such an amount of time would seem trival in any other situation, every second mattered when considering the amount of things to do leading up to Jaburo. Xanavi sighed. This was one of the rare moments he had alone with Lilium considering half the time he was piloting an MS or having to sleep. "Yeah yeah, we're coming now..." Xanavi muttered in frustration and headed back up the mountain with Lilium in tow. In just over 3 weeks, Xanavi Krieger would be an influence in events to come...
