UC 0079, November 15 11:42 PM BGM Belfast, one of the few strongholds of the Federation that remains standing throughout the days of the war. Despite being in one of the British islands, this little harbor base holds little strategic positioning, or maybe this was the only reason how it survived the many CRADLE assaults for the past few months. Despite that the Federation spent a reasonable amount of funds to maintain this foothold, making it the largest Federation naval base so far. Several rows of cargo and garages lined up nearly one by one near the ocean. From above it looks like a box and another, going on for miles. The Federation is rich in resources, they have always been like that, just they were not very effective in using their resources for the beginning phases of the war. Unfortunately most of that precious resources ended up in CRADLE's hands, who knows how much more the Federation can be keeping in stock. Gas tanks were set up beside the harbor as well, even in the world of Minovsky physics, fossil fuels were still highly valuable. The Federation has a huge stock of this as well, unlike CRADLE that had nearly nothing. Nonetheless after stacking up failure after failure, the Federation finally appears to be getting itself together again. Inside the garage were no longer old type 61 tanks, they were quickly replaced with the Federation's newest MS, the GM. This was what one person saw from the periscope, he was a young CRADLE commander that dressed in a fancy red uniform. Too young for his rank, but he has the skill and leadership for this rank as well, the badge of Colonel rank gleamed under the dim light of the metallic room. His blond hair was combed neatly everyday, and the smile was generally on his face. Just one thing that no one could see, it was his face. Concealed under a heavy metal mask, Full Frontal hopped down from the captain's chair. Walking next to the large "window", a huge squid swam by and quickly left. All that was seen outside was an endless mass of dark blue, Frontal was not interested in the emptiness of the deep ocean. "Seems like the enemy is well guarded, more than we thought. Right now our numbers are limited, theres no way winning if we fight head on." he explained himself to the crew. "Colonel, due to the constant attacks by the Federation fleet launched from Luna 2, we cannot receive reinforcements." one of the soldiers respectfully reported. Somehow Frontal expected trouble when receiving reinforcements, but what he did not expect is not one person was able to make it down to Earth. Scratching his chin, he walked back and sat down on his captain's chair again. Where his vision went was unknown due to the mask, but he was plotting the next move already. "I see, Raul and the others cant get down...well this is troublesome. Theres no way around this then, Mad Angler surface, MS squad ready for sortie. Remember this is only a night raid, operation time is limited to 10 minutes. Retreat without conditions after that." he ordered, feeling air pressure coming starting to fill his ears, the huge submarine slowly began to move away from the bottom of the ocean. After the death of Garma Elisard, Frontal was condemned for the inability to save Garma and somehow demoted to becoming to command an aquatic squad. Unlike the well known tubular shaped submarines, the Mad Angler was flat like a ray fish, but tall enough to fit MS aboard. Due to its wide surface area, it is able to carry up to 10 MS and even a large MA. There is absolutely no way any colonies will have any bodies of water as large as Earth's waterways, though ironically CRADLE's production with aquatic MS is much quicker than the Federation. The Federation in fact, has little to no ways of fighting under water so far, as the GM was not developed enough to have variants yet. After the pilots got into their MS, the maintenance crew quickly moved the supplies and machines out of the hanger. Each hanger is an independent room with a thick wall to withstand the huge water pressure. After every crew member has left the room in the hanger, seawater began to gush into the hanger and fill the room in blue. The pilot activated the system of his aquatic MS as the camera displayed his surroundings. The water slowly and eventually filled up to the top of the MS and reached the ceiling of the hangers. The mono eye of the MS lit up as the hatches from above slowly opened. Bubbles began to form under the burners of the MS. Instead of being called burners, it would be more accurate to call them hydrojets, to give them enough speed under water. "Alright, Gogg get ready, Z'gok provide covering, we dont have to beat the Federation, just cause destruction and deprive them of sleep!" Frontal commanded from the bridge as he saw the MS began to dive towards the base. The Gogg was significantly different from the other MS CRADLE fields. It was heavily armored, so much bulk that it can even withstand water pressure from the deepest waters. With so much armor, it was nearly impossible to damage by standard fire arms. The overall brown paint job and yellow claws gave it a fearsome appearance. There were two mega P. cannons mounted on the abdomen of the unit, the entire unit was somewhat circular shaped. Due to the Federation only having that much fire power in water, the Gogg proved nearly invincible during the early phases of the war, winning CRADLE many water way controls of Earth. Nothing stopped the way of this MS, even the beast of the ocean, the sharks had to run from its path. Spoiler: click to toggle

While Mad Angler was surfacing, one of the operators decided to ask Frontal about something he did not understand. "Colonel, since we cannot take this base, why are we waiting here for already a week?" he questioned respectfully, the Mad Angler has been stationed nearby Belfast for the past few days, although they have not attacked yet, just disturbing the Federation will probably not be enough to win them the base. "Hmph, you'll see why eventually. We just have to spread the net and wait till the fish comes, a huge one that is. Missile standby, dont surface too much, just good enough for missiles to fire is fine!" Frontal did not fully answer the question. The flat and large submarine is at the surface of the ocean water, only showing the top. Due to the poor sight range of the night waters, the brown colored Mad Angler was not seen nor detected by radar. Hatches opened from the top of the ship as it got ready to bombard the Federation base. "Good, grasp the timing with the Gogg's surface, fire!" the masked leader swung his hands forward and commanded. Missiles flowed out of the opened hatches of the Mad Angler vertically, the specially designed heat sensors on the missiles made a skillful U turn in mid air and began to drop down from the sky. Smashing across the grounds of the base. The night raid began in a huge explosion, the alarm sounded throughout the base like an air raid. In fact in these years, why would CRADLE of all people use strategies such as air raiding. The Federation thought the same, therefore it would be no use preparing to combat aircrafts. The missiles must be coming from under water as well. Though even knowing that the Federation's submarine fleet was badly damaged in the early phases of the war and not many of them were left. A few type 61 tanks quickly rolled out of their garages while the GM was still in preparation. "Enemy's attack!! Dont panic!!" a Federation officer shouted while the badly organized forces were clumsily getting onto their machines. "Hmph, so in the end this is as good as how the Federation can react, how pathetic..." Frontal muttered as he commanded to stop the bombardment. This did not mean CRADLE is going any easy on the Federation, it is to avoid hitting their own units while they attack. Finally the "main cast" arrived at the coast, a huge metallic claw bursted out of the water and slammed down onto the harbor. What followed the claw was the entire unit, the brown paint job at night seemed dark black, only the pinkish mono eye of the Gogg was clearly seen from a distance. Saltwater droplets flowed down the heavy armor of the MS, as the MS let out a blaze of light from its mega P. cannons. The bright yellow beam smashed through a tank and instantly annihilated its target. The Gogg took a step forward and approached another tank, although the Federation solider attempted to counter attack, but his resistance was futile. The heavy shell from the type 61 tank's main cannon smashed against the tough armor of the Gogg, but it did not even leave a scratch. Marching forward, ignoring any obstacles in its way, the Gogg stomped down onto its enemy and crushed it. Slashing through garage roofs with its heavy claws, the MS rampaged through the base. While the Federation finally got its MS booted up and running, the Gogg was already retreating. Starting to walk back into the ocean, one of the GM managed to get back at the Gogg before it can get away. This GM however, was not armed in beam weaponry, and this was the biggest mistake it made. Armed with a 100 mm bullpup rifle, the shells of standard fire arms did nothing to the Gogg's thick armor. It was like firing cotton candy at the enemy, it did not stop the beast at all. Turning and taking aim, the Gogg fired another blast of beam at the GM. The Federation only recently began to deploy MS, pilots are not completely use to the controls yet. Not avoiding the quick flash in time, the bright beam grazed parts of the GM's arm, destroying its rifle as well. Without anymore choices, using its other arm, the GM drew its beam saber. Now the pilot realized, no matter how thick a MS armor can be, it was no match for beam weaponry. Charging up, the GM slashed down. Or so it thought it did, the Gogg grabbed the arm of its enemy before the blade can come down. The steel claws of the Gogg were like fangs of a shark, ripping through and destroying the GM in an instant. The night raid ended after this, as CRADLE quickly retreated, leaving the Belfast base in a mess.. |

UC 0079, November 18, 8:29 AM BGM More than a week have passed since the battle of Odessa, the Argama has perfectly completed its mission and emerged victoriously along with the other Federation in the decisive battle. Despite so, the white ship has suffered much damage during throughout the intense battlefield. Therefore the Argama was given permission to take a detour to Belfast for repair and supplies, before continuing their journey to Jaburo. Before arriving, the crew's image of Belfast was a sturdy and organized naval base that remained standing throughout the war, though when they arrived, what the crew saw was somewhat disgracing. Black smoke puffed out from buildings and debris scattered all along the runway and racks, with destroyed parts floating on the coast. Then there were Federation soldiers using MS to help clean up the mess. Hayate and Allen looked at each other puzzled, was this really the sturdy Federation naval base they thought of? "Hey, I thought this base remained standing throughout the war..." Allen questioned, Hayate remained silent and continued to frown at the disgraceful looks of the Federation. "Well, it certainly didnt fall, but seems like it was attacked..." Taures interrupted, as the permission for landing streamed through his headphones, loud enough for the other bridge members to hear clearly. The white battleship slowly landed as Rie adjusted the angle of the ship, by now she is already a top class navigator, and most likely will not have to worry about crashing the ship during landing. Somehow the docks and buildings away from the coast seems to be unharmed, one of the large garages opened up from above. The lid was like a box, the white garage was large enough for the entire Argama ship to land, seems like it was made specially for the Argama and similar ships that will be designed in the future. Shutting off the engine, Rie too a deep breath and finally can relax for a while. "Noa-san, think we should go greet General Revil, he should have arrived before us." Rie continued, although this was important, Noa was more concerned and curious to know what happened here. Revil valued the Argama and its crew very much, therefore it was him that gave them permission to follow to Belfast and have a small break here. This amount of respect it only natural to show, though Noa doubt whoever attacked this base will stop anytime soon, unless they do something. Wait a minute, if CRADLE forces attacked here then why did they not take the base? Do they not have enough forces, or is this base just not worth it? Or are they, can it be they are waiting for something? While questioning himself, he already found himself walking down the hallways of the control building. Luckily this building was put in the most inner part of the base, it managed to get out of CRADLE's reach, is this just a coincidence or what, nonetheless if CRADLE is here then they must have a reason to be waiting. Ambushing, something, the problem is just that "something" he does not know. Allen followed Noa, looking up to the slightly taller Noa, Allen was wondering why he has such a serious face. This time unlike Luna 2, the Argama's crew was not banned from leaving the ship, but given much more free time while the ship was under going repairs. Revil's office, or this temporary office was nothing great, just a desk and some shelves, probably even less than what he had on the office in his Big Tray. There was another officer standing beside him, he had a gleaming badge of Lt. General on his neatly ironed uniform, just one rank under Revil himself. His was most commonly known as Lt. General Mcfaty Tianem, the commander of the Federation's 4th Space Fleet. Despite losing his entire fleet during the first battle against CRADLE's colony drop attempt, he was most well known for saving the Federation and therefore hailed as a hero. He was temporarily called down by Revil to manage Elran's remained forces that did not betray the Federation. Strictly speaking, he might be just as good and experienced as Revil as well. A man in his late 40s, or even early 50s, there were already white hair that began to grow in his curly black hair. His small eyes and pointy nose reflected a sense of charisma worthy of many soldier's loyalty. He was also the proposer for the Federation Fleet's restructure project, Project Vinson, which will eventually show its worth, hopefully. "General, with Odessa secured, I suppose we can finally begin the Space Counterattack we've planned for months." he stated. "Indeed, finally this moment has came. Since the beginning of the war, to the Battle of Loum, then even the blood smeared colony drop, we have developed the V project, and even retook Odessa. The technology of MS that made us suffer so much, it is time for CRADLE to suffer as well. Although CRALDE does not have much more power left, I cant say the Federation has much left too. Just another push and we can finally end this long struggle..." Revil sighed, like an old man he was tired too. Pulling out a cigarette from his pocket, Tianem offered a lighter, the general smiled and lit the tobacco, breathing out a puff of white smoke. There was a knock at the door. |

Whilst Allen went to greet the general, Sayla and Hayate decided to get off board and have a walk, it has been a while they have walked on ground, and most importantly they wanted to see what the Earth's ocean was like from a close view. Though they were quickly thrown out by the Federation soldiers that was cleaning up the area, saying that they're working and its off limits for kids. Sayla frowned and stared at her uniform, at least she was a soldier as well, what is wrong with wanting to go have a look anyways. "Well dont say that, seems like the people here are not getting too much rest, notice a lot of people have black circles under their eyes...?" Hayate replied to Sayla's complaints, taking note of the Federation soldiers that were cleaning up the area, they looked like pandas. "Hmph, well fine. Not like the ocean is going to be very nice to look at from here anyways..." Sayla was still somewhat stubborn about this, though she will not say anything else. The pollution from the battle and this cloudy and humid weather does not fit her romantic image of blue water and white sand. Just as people say that Britain is a rainy little island, there was a somewhat thin layer of fog as well. Looking up, it was splatter of dark clouds, not dark enough to rain, but not bright enough to see the sun. Anyone will end up having a bad mood in this kind of weather, probably Sayla is annoyed because of this, or so Hayate thought. Taking a deep breath, the smell of saltwater entered his nostrils and out, as a Spacenoid, neither of the two were very use to the polluted air on Earth, Hayate let out a small cough from choking. Probably the entire crew of the Argama lacks military discipline in some ways, but they were not proper members of the army to begin with anyways, therefore not a lot of people will chat much about this. "Stop! Dont!!" someone screamed in resistance, this caught the ears of Sayla and Hayate, the two quickly spun around and glanced at what was happening behind. There was a girl being pushed down on the cement ground, and two men dressed messily in low ranking Federation uniform stood above the girl. Her brown vest was forcefully torn, and revealed parts of her undergarments. Hayate knew immediately this was not a proper act, whether this is just harassment or robbery, neither of them are acts that a soldier, no, not just that, as a human they should not do something like this. Without even thinking, Hayate ran up and punched one of them in the face. "Stop it! What are you doing to a girl like this!?" he raged, covering the girl, Sayla quickly ran up and helped the poor battered civilian up to her feet and took a few steps back. Although one side of the base was managed well by Revil, the other side was basically left to rot as the general did not have enough time to go around the entire base in just a day. This was the other side of chaos, soldiers attacking civilians for their own lust, stealing money for their own happiness, the army that has lost all pride in its actions. "Huh? What the fuck? What do you think youre doing, brat?" the two disordered soldiers, started to crack their knuckles. Of course, Hayate was no match for the two "soldiers" that was trained in CQC, their fists began to ram into Hayate's slightly chubby face, the immediate impact forced his cheek all swollen, then a knee went into his stomach, Hayate felt that his insides was going to be stirred out. Then another fist came right in front, this time straight onto his nose, cracking it. With a nosebleed, Hayate tumbled across the concrete and fainted. He could not stand up anymore, no matter how good he gotten in piloting a MS, he was still no match for trained adults. Then the two disordered soldiers slowly approached Sayla that covered the harassed girl. "Hey, youre pretty cute too...wanna have some fun with us?" the soldier that was punched by Hayate just now came up with a sneer, there was even a tooth missing. Sayla's heart beat increased, she was scared, there will be nothing she can do if they catch her. But she cannot run like this, otherwise they will attack this girl. From a far, there were footsteps approaching, closer and closer. The fog was a bit thick so Sayla could not see closely enough, but the soldier already reached out for her. "Dont you dare touch her, you scum!!" there was a howl from beyond the fog and someone jumped out. Allen quickly rose his leg and kicked his "enemy" in the face, the Federation soldier that lost a tooth now just lost another one and went tumbling onto the concrete as well. Sayla let out a breath of relieve as she smiled, knowing she should be saved by now. The other soldier reached out with his fist from beside, Allen grabbed his arm and using the force of his punch, he lifted his opponent off his feet, and hurled him to the side. Allen was not strong at all, but he knows a series of martial arts, much more physically fit than Hayate too. The soldier that now has 2 lost teeth, finally stood up and punched Allen in the face, Allen gritted his teeth hard as he returned the punch. "No more of this nonsense, halt your fists!" Noa shouted strictly, the two disorganized soldiers glared up at Noa, although Noa was not a brat, he does not seem to be too well in combat as well. Though what attracted their attention was the badge of Noa's rank, no matter how disorganized or disgraceful they may be, as long as they are a part of the Federation, they cannot go against a superior officer. Although Noa was not high ranked in any ways, he can still swing his power to execute a few privates. The two immediately saluted and ran. Allen sighed as Noa walked up, seeing his swollen cheek, Noa shook his head and slapped Allen on the other cheek. "You, dont cause anymore trouble for us. Its not only your body now, take care of it! Allen, you're too important for us now, dont just randomly get into fights..." Noa warned, Allen did not argue back, neither did Noa slap him very hard...compared to the punch, and the first time he was slapped. "And what just happened here?" Noa was puzzled, although taking a glance at Sayla protecting a civilian girl, and two disorganized soldiers getting into fights, he somewhat can imagine what happened. Hayate just regained conscious as Allen helped him to his feet, lending him a shoulder. |

Just when Noa was about to decide on what to do about this situation, the air raid alarm rang, the loud noise filled the gloomy sky. Hearing this, Hayate shook off Allen's shoulders and immediately began to run by himself, Allen looked around and saw missiles raining down and bombarding the base from a distance. Destroying facilities that were just built, and killing people in the explosion. So this was the attacker that has been raiding this base for the past few days. Soldiers are being deprived of sleep because of this, this explains some things, but does not justifies for the reason to just randomly rape a civilian girl. "Noa-san, what should we do with this girl? Its too dangerous for her to stay here!" Sayla shouted, Noa turned as he was about to run. He can see her still shivering in Sayla's arms. "Well theres no time to talk about this, take her on board and we'll decide later! Allen, get ready! If what we heard is true, amphibious MS will come sooner or later!" Noa shouted and ran for he Argama, Allen quickly followed, and so did Hayate. Sayla somehow understands why Hayate seems to be so worked up, but she was doubtful that such thing actually exists. Whatever it was, this should be after the battle, she slowly walked the poor civilian girl and went towards the Argama as well. "Colonel, just as you expected. The trojan horse arrived, its stationed in the large white garage inside the base!" the operator reported, Full Frontal's Mad Angler surfaced slightly to fire its missiles, like it has been doing for the past few days. Though this might be the last day they can stay in this area, their supplies are beginning to run out. Full Frontal tapped his steel hard mask and smiled, everything is falling into his hands as he has expected. Though the 1 card he cannot pull out is the victory card for defeating the Gundam. After seeing so many attempts to fight it, every one of them seems to have failed. But this time he has prepared an all new strategy that he had high hopes for. "Good, I'd be troubled if it didnt arrive. Being the operation as planned, Gogg prepare yourself! Dont chase too deep, remember to lure the Federation's MS into our advantage!" he ordered, the hanger for the Gogg once again filled with water as the brown MS began to dive towards the base. Frontal was exactly waiting for this chance, another chance to go head on against the Federation's trojan horse, the Argama. He still refuses to believe there is an enemy he cannot defeat, being somewhat of a sore loser. "Now then, if only the enemy will be so kind of follow my plan..." he muttered. The Argama was down for repairs, it obviously cannot launch, the Federation forces nearby are all worn out and low in morale, Allen did not expect much help from the Federation nearby. The enemy is attacking from the ocean, then it must mean there is a submarine nearby. Walking the Gundam out, because the catapult was down too, Allen scanned his surroundings. The Gundam was armed with the Gundam hammer, expecting to be fighting in water, beam weaponry proves to be ineffective there. Therefore Allen looked for a solid ballistic weapon, although he had the hyper bazooka, it would be dangerous to run out of ammo against an unknown enemy, the low ammo capacity of the bazooka seems to be ineffective too. Slowly Allen is beginning to think like a real soldier, growing so much from the immature brat since Side 7. "Alright, where are the enemies?!" his eyeballs followed the cameras, there was a bandage patch on his cheek, under his helmet. The Gundam lit its burners and took a leap and again and again, eventually landing on the coast, waiting for his enemy. At the same time, Sayla and Hayate was in the infirmary, Sayla was putting bandages on Hayate as well, but he refused. We can do this later! he dismissed and ran for the hangers, being in high morale and very worked up, he ignored the pain from the swells and scratches. Sayla sighed, and looked at the girl that was also taken on board. Now looking closely, she was very cute, even a girl like Sayla will say this. Straight and silky red hair, with her eyes the same color, combined with the somewhat pale skin made this girl look like a fairy. A small part of her hair beside her ears were braided together into cute twin tails that draped over her shoulders. Sayla looked at her and smiled, "dont worry, it will be over soon. Behave and stay here, dont move!" she left that and went towards the bridge. Her G-fighter was down in maintenance, so there was not much she can do other than CIC operator. On the way, Hayate saw Noa and Rie running towards the bridge. Knowing this was the direction to the hangers, Rie stopped him. "Hayate-kun! Where are you going with all these wounds? More importantly what happened?!" she worried, Hayate only smiled and said this was nothing and continue to run. Without another second to lose, the other two quickly went towards the bridge too. "Let him go, if this sort of wound is going to hinder him, then he's not worthy of being called a man!" Noa seems a bit worked up as well, Rie only frowned her brows and stared at her captain. Being the navigator, there was nothing she can do if the Argama cannot fly, but it would still be good if she was on the bridge. Hearing Hayate on the announce saying Guntank going out! Noa also hopped onto the captain's seat. Requesting the situation, there was a map that was brought up to the main screen, it was the geography of the landscape around Belfast. There was a large glowing red dot in the ocean. "Right now we are being attacked from this area, and from the size of this heat source, it is believed to be CRADLE's large type M-type submarine. MS will most likely launch from it as well!" Taures reported while Hayate's Guntank rolled out of the hanger towards the coast as well. Edited by Sunrise, Feb 16 2012, 12:46 PM.

As Allen thought it was about time, the enemy's amphibious MS indeed crawled out of the ocean. Saltwater droplets swam down its brown armor, Allen confirmed his target, this enemy was much different from the Zaku, Gouf or Doms he has been fighting these past weeks. Immediately Allen spotted a weakness of his enemy, due to the mega P. cannons being mounted on the abdomen of the Gogg, the MS must stand still to fire the attack. Although the beam's output was powerful, it was far too slow and ineffective to hit the Gundam. Allen quickly jumped out of the way and swung the Gundam hammer back. Unleashing the force, the Federation's white MS hurled the huge metal spiked ball at its foe. Unlike before, the weapon was added with some boosters, providing extra propulsion and power. The nozzles from behind the "hammer" let out a breath of burners and rammed itself hard into the Gogg. There was a moment of silence as the Gundam hammer rolled onto the ground, Allen widened his eyes as he did not even find a scratch on the Gogg's armor. "How come?! This thing was even powered up and still?!" he gasped, the Gogg turned his way again. Without giving it another chance to fire its powerful beam weaponry, Allen jumped to the other side, stepping hard on his flaps. The Gundam's mobility was much higher, but it is questionable whether it was as strong as the Gogg in raw power. Despite being much better in overall specs than anything CRADLE can possibly build, the Gundam might not be the top notch in certain categories compared to some of the specialized MS CRADLE fields. Allen let out a battle howl as he pulled his joysticks back and hurled the Gundam hammer at the Gogg once again. But this time Allen knows it is time to give up using this weird weapon. Although it did help a bit before, maybe it was really not a great weapon to use, especially not against something with as thick armor as the Gogg. Without a second thought, the Gogg's pilot sneered and pushed his joystick up as well. The Gogg lifted its sharp claws painted in golden yellow, and caught the spiked ball when its booster was still active. The light from the boost slowly died out as the Gogg began to pull at the ball, Allen felt the Gundam being dragged down by this force. "Heh, if we go into water then its my turn..." the CRADLE pilot said to himself, before Allen can let go of the chain, the Gundam was already pulled into the ocean. Spoiler: click to toggle

BGM Allen's body felt heavy, it was not just his body, the entire controls felt heavy. The Gundam was sinking further down into the deep ocean. Although Belfast was built on a coast, it was more accurate to call it an ocean plant, therefore once something falls off the edge, it was directly sent down to the deepest part of the ocean. Allen could not see anything from his camera, but blue. Dark blue smeared across his camera, it was silent, there were not even any fishes around the area. Pulling and tugging on his controls, Allen somewhat managed to maintain balance. "Damn, the controls are heavy..." he muttered as the Gundam slowly landed on the bottom of the ocean. But what he saw in front was a huge underwater cliff, covered shallowly in the shadows. Gulping down hard, he knows that there will be no return if he drops into that. "This is still a depth the Gundam can tolerate, oxygen no problem...but the controls are still heavy, I wont be able to maintain even half the amount of mobility here..." Allen checked each sensors, since it was a cloudy day outside, there is very little light that reached the bottom of the seabed. Allen turned on all sorts of sensors, heat, sound, even infrared sensors. Honing all his senses to detect his surroundings, it would only be a matter of time until the Gogg finds him. He saw small bubbles crawling up from his screen, Allen stepped on the flaps of the Gundam, it took the machine a while to take a step forward. "Tsk, no good walking...although it will give away my position but..." deciding to fight the enemy head on in a disadvantage landscape. Pushing the handle next to his knees to the top, then stepping on the flaps again, the Gundam let out a huge glow from its back. Immediately this glow was caught by the Gogg's sensors, being designed for underwater combat, each of the Gogg's sensors were made specially to detect the enemy underwater. Seeing the glow from the Gundam's burners, the aquatic MS immediately went for its foe. The huge heat from the burners quickly heated the water behind it, and causing large amounts of foam like bubbles to rise, as if the Gundam was pushing out foam from behind. Although still not up to standard speed, with the burners up like this it at least gave Allen some movement underwater. Just one thing that worried the young pilot was the time this output will last. Despite being under the cold ocean, which actually helps cooling down, it is only a matter of time before the burners overheat themselves. As the Gogg approached, the Gundam's sensors finally caught its signal. It still took a while for the Gogg to come into Allen's sight range though. However when the MS did come into sight range, it was all too late. The Gogg had its arms tucked in and hydrojets running on full power behind. The acceleration was swift, it charged up at the Gundam like a bullet. Its overall round oval shaped body helped it move in water at high speed, and just by tackling its enemies the Gogg can do relatively hard damage. Immediately ramming itself into the Gundam, Allen's unit cannot keep up with the immediate command from its cockpit underwater. The time lag for the Gundam to move its parts to the right place was too large from the water pressure. The white giant was quickly knocked down by the dark brown bullet, slowly landing on its back. "Damn, have to find a way to deal with that first..." Allen wondered. Fiddling around with his controls, he tuned the balancer and sensitivity of the controls a bit, hoping it would make the Gundam's movements a bit smoother. Unfortunately before the Gundam can fully get up, the Gogg made a U turn and rammed itself into the Gundam again. Allen this time stomped down hard to stop the Gundam from tipping over again, but the Gogg landed as well. Storming up with fearsome speed, it was as if the Gogg was not affected by water pressure at all. Of course it was not, its armor is made so thick just to have it resist water pressure at great depths. Allen had two choices of weapons, the head vulcan, and a pair of beam sabers. Knowing beam weaponry's power will be greatly weakened in water, Allen can only choose this. The Gundam hammer did not even leave a dent into the Gogg's armor, what can vulcans do then, Allen thought. He swiped his fingers on the touch screen, the Gundam's arm slowly moved back and grabbed the beam saber stuck on the unit's backpack. A fiery blaze of pinkish red ignited from the handle, but its colors seems so much denser than on land. The huge heat evaporated water quickly, there was a foam that was speeding towards the surface. Allen was ready to combat his enemy. |

Missiles rained down onto the grounds of Belfast once again, cold weapons smashed and caused destruction on the land without mercy. Whether it was living or not, nothing mattered as the explosion laid ruins to the surroundings. Hayate's Guntank had its tracks rolling backwards, while shooting down missiles. He cannot counterattack against the enemy as the Mad Angler was hidden underwater. Just that the missiles this time shot surprisingly far, compared to the range of destruction they witnessed. Few days ago the attacks only bombarded the coastal facilities, but this time it reached as far as the Argama's garage. "Like I'd let you do what you want...!!" Hayate grabbed the periscope behind his seat and covered it over his eyes. The markers slowly over lapped each other, but Hayate did not wait until the two markers completely overlap, otherwise it'd be too late. Squeezing down on the fire button on his handle, the Guntank rapidly poured out a rail of shells towards the sky from its arms. The shells intercepted the raining missiles before they caused any damage to the Argama in repairs. It was Hayate's duty to protect the ship, as a crew member, but he also has another reason. While it may be easy to be hated, it was also easy for someone to like another person. Behind his back, sits one girl that is the victim of war. No one wants to be attacked like that, but it cannot be helped. War turns people mad, and without conscious borns new victims in every possible way. If Hayate was still a sane person, then he has the duty of protecting those without power, although it was only a slight bit of power, as long as he has the ability to do something, then he should do it. This was what Hayate believed, and it was this belief that made him preserver on this devastating battlefield. Belief tough as steel, but there was still a limit to Hayate's piloting skills, a few missiles managed to get under the barrage the Federation nearby let out, and went straight for the Argama's garage. And one of them directly hit the side of the large white garage, making a hole in it. Noa felt the vibration of the impact, he quickly reacted to this situation. "Damn, like we just fixed the Argama here, and they're here to destroy it again...!!" he cursed. |

Allen noticed something hidden deep within the waters of Belfast, although it was only a blurry image, but the sheer size of that object was clear. Allen knew it was a large submarine that CRADLE stationed in this area, but he has yet to know who was in command of that squad. Not like Allen has time to think so much about an enemy far away, because he has an enemy close by to fight. The Gundam's beam saber evaporated sea water at a rapid speed, bubbles soared up to the surface. Thinking that the beam saber's power will be greatly weakened as well, Allen did not expect to finish off the Gogg in one hit. The Gogg rushed up and slashed down with its claws, the Gundam clumsily evaded the attack, but it was still too slow. The sharp claws grazed parts of the Gundam's chest armor. Allen knew one thing, death. If his unit here is destroyed, he will die immediately. Slashing horizontally, the Gogg floated up and behind the Gundam. Allen could not turn the unit around quickly enough, the Gogg's claws dug into the side of the Gundam's head. Leaving 4 holes into the left side of the head, Allen saw the cameras begin to be filled up with water and malfunctioning. The thumb of the Gogg gripped and drilled into the eyes of the Gundam, there was no sound from the cracking of the lenses under water, just silently shards of the Gundam's parts floated out into the murky waters. Allen felt the pressure beginning to rise in his cockpit, there was a heavy weight on his chest, the Gundam will be crushed by the deep sea if he continues to take damage. The Gogg reached out with its steel claws once again, Allen this time reacted quickly. Somehow the Gundam managed to react in time as well, grabbing the Gogg's arm with its left arm, the Gundam thrusted its beam saber into the head of the Gogg. No matter how tough the armor may be, there must be an area that can be penetrated. The head, where its cameras were placed, the Gogg was speared through. "Ngh!!! Just a little bit more, stand in there Gundam!!" Allen shouted as the Gogg grabbed the Gundam on the chest. The sharp claws ripped past the blue painted chest armor of the white MS. Allen's eyes widened as water began to leak into the cockpit. Looking to the side, a torrent of water spilled out of the mechanical wall, there is not much time left. Either the Gundam be crushed by the water pressure, or the machine deactivates due to being exposed to water, and the Gundam still crushed under sea. Either way, Allen was running out of time. Reaching behind, the Gundam pulled out another beam saber and drilled it into the Gogg's chest. The two MS clashed at close distance, no matter how tough the Gogg's armor is, it was no match for the beam saber. The Gundam's beam saber was far too powerful for any existing armor to stop, even if was weakened underwater. The blade of light easily slid past the armor of the Gogg. From the surface of the ocean, there was a huge explosion, but nothing came out of it. Which one of the units survived, it was still unknown at this point. |

There was a brief moment of silence on the bridge of the Mad Angler, but eventually Full Frontal broke the silence with a deep sigh. "Seems like we have no choice, retreat and resupply. We'll have to catch them another day. We might really have to go pick up that unit and use it..." the mask commander shook his head, already knowing the outcome of the battle. The Mad Angler was not only running low on ammo, but also in food and water. The Mad Angler slowly turned and sailed away from Belfast, with Frontal already planning the next move. The Gundam broke the silence on the surface of the water as well, blasting out like a dolphin, Allen landed his unit on the coast of Belfast. It felt so great to be on land, as the water slowly emptied out of the cockpit. Hearing the Federation soldiers nearby cheering for his victory, he took a deep breath of relieve. Then looking around, it seems like both the Guntank and Argama survived the battle. Somehow the Mad Angler did not send any more new MS to attack, Allen wondered why. But it is better that they did not, just one Gogg was so tough to defeat, it would be a problem if CRADLE sent anymore. But this shows something, after the Dom, now the Gogg. One by one the enemy is sending out tougher and stronger MS day by day, Allen cannot rely on just the performance of his machine anymore. This is the time where his skills are really tested. "If he appears in a MS equal to the Gundam, will I be able to defeat him..." Allen questioned, referring to Full Frontal. But in no sense did Allen sound discouraged in anyway. "I understand, sorry for the inconvenience caused. But we will head to Jaburo right away." Noa put down the microphone and saluted, Revil on the other side of the screen nodded with a smile and the connection was cut off. The Argama was ordered to immediately leave the docks of Belfast after repairs and resupply. This time CRADLE is very obviously attacking Belfast and aiming for the white trojan horse, it would be dangerous to let the Argama stay in Belfast any longer, a base that does not have any more power to defend the ship from any further results. Unlike last time on Luna 2, Revil dispatched the Argama this time for the safety of the ship and crew. Noa understands that Belfast was attacked all because their arrival was expected, the enemy's commander must be very experienced and skilled. "Seems like the enemy has moved a step ahead of us, we need to be cautious while crossing the atlantic, I really dont think the enemy will just silently let us go after all that effort of sinking this ship." the captain announced to his bridge crew. At the same time, the Gundam and Guntank both returned on board. Noa ordered Rie to prepare the engines after repairs are finished, and dismissed the crew to get some rest. |
