Universal Century 0080, January 1 0:00 AM Kotomine Kirei was sitting at the couch of the Kanda villa. Hearing the news that CRADLE has lost and the Federation is issuing a new governing system for Side 3 and the Colonies in general, Tokiomi was busy for this entire day. The actual battle ended before noon when CRADLE's leader Carissa Elisard was found dead, losing the will to fight anymore, CRADLE surrendered under the leadership of now chairman of the Supreme Council, Joseph Mackenzie. Almost all of CRADLE that remained in Elisard City was taken as prisoners and will eventually be put on trial. The higher up generals will most definitely all be sentenced to death or imprisoned for life for their war guilt. Looking at the date changing, Kirei patiently waited for his mentor to enter the room. After being summoned by Tokiomi as he has something important to say, Kirei feel obliged to be loyal to his mentor, for now. A bandage was wrapped around Kirei's head and mostly around his minor wounds, closing his eyes and thinking back at everything that happened today, it certainly was the most amusing day in the priest's life. He finally found his answer, and now he shall begin his journey in search of the process that gave him such answer. Kirei was keen to know more and learn more about his so called joy, but his thought was interrupted as the door clicked and Tokiomi walked in. Kirei immediately stood up and bowed, the gentleman in red suit looked tired but smiled. "Sorry for the wait Kirei, have a seat." he sat down on the couch and noticed Kirei has already prepared some tea for him. "I felt the need to at least see my mentor one last time before I leave Side 3." Kirei bowed respectively as Tokiomi picked up the tea cup and took a sip of the high quality black tea. Tokiomi decided to send Rin to live at Side 6 until things calm down in Side 3. While Archer accompanies her, there are still many things Tokiomi as a father thinks that an experienced adult will be suitable for the job. While Archer can take care of Rin's daily needs, Kirei was appointed as supervisor and therefore will be living at Side 6 for the time as well. "Kirei, I always felt pride from having such a wonderful apprentice like you. In the future, can you keep a positive with the Kanda household like the way your late father has?" Tokiomi put a long box on the table, it was around 50 cm tall, and its contents appeared to be somewhat heavy. Judging from the thud the box made when it hit the table, Kirei was wondering what it was. "It would be my deepest glory and pleasure to be able to continue to serve my master!" Kirei smiled and deeply showed gratitude, Tokiomi was calm and disciplined, but he was also glad that Kirei would be willing to help in the future as well. Kirei was not only taught in politics, but also in military strategy, physiology, sciences and much more. Tokiomi taught almost everything he knew to his apprentice that learned like a genius. In many ways, Tokiomi has gained an apprentice with so much talent that he can declare with pride that he has had a good student. As a teacher, nothing was more happier than to see their own students succeed. Or so he thought, Kirei cannot take his eyes away from the box thought. "As the member of the Supreme Council, I cannot allow myself to leave my seat absent especially when the war has just finished. We have to restructure our governmental system now that the Elisard family no longer rules. While most of us might object, the Federation will most likely issue a disarmament, or even the disbanding of CRADLE as the military." Tokiomi looked Kirei straight in his blank eyes, he was a true patriot however, hoping the best for his nation. Then he took out a sealed envelope from his pocket and handed it to Kirei. "This is an appointment, or more likely to be a last will of some kind in case anything happens. I made my wife take it but unfortunately she passed away during the war. Therefore I want you to have this. This is the official document to allow Rin to inherit all properties of the Kanda household and to appoint you as Rin's supervisor until she becomes an adult. Of course you will be free to manage any of our properties before she grows up. Kirei, I'm counting on you if anything happens." "I understand. I will do my best to support your daughter Rin, and risk my life for her if anything happens. However, please be careful my mentor. It will still be my dearest wish that I do not open this letter..." Kirei replied, hoping for the safety of his mentor, Tokiomi gave a high class laugh as Kirei put the letter in his pocket. Finally the priest decided to ask about the thing that was bothering him from the beginning. "This is...?" he said referring to the box. "This is a present I personally decided to give you. Open it and see." Tokiomi offered, Kirei reached over the table and grabbed the box, it was even heavier than he assumed. Opening the lid he saw a short blade, it was a little less than 45 cm long, it was a short ritual sword made from top class steel, there were also unknown words carved on the metallic blade, written in the letter of runes. The guard was ornate with bronze and the bottom had a gem of the ruby attached from it. "Azoth Sword, it is one of the inherited treasures of my family. The holder of this is proven to have studied all knowledge the Kanda household requires and will not be shamed anywhere. I think it fits you." he explained. "I have owed so much to you, my mentor. I am afraid words alone is not enough to express my gratitude!" Kirei smiled as he took the blade out, the clear blade reflected the image of his blank eyes under the dim moonlight that lit the dark room. Kirei inspected the blade, for a ritual sword is was surprisingly sharp, the then noticed Tokiomi standing up and walk out of the room. "Sorry for holding you back so long. Please go home and rest well, I assume you have an early flight tomorrow." Tokiomi said farewell and turned his back against Kirei. This was his biggest mistake he made in life. Kirei that has found the answer, is now searching for a process. It was just a problem of trial and error. The priest silently got up with the Azoth Sword in hand and slowly crept up to Tokiomi from behind with a wide sneer. "No worries...my mentor. I will be sure to get on my flight in time..." he replied in a low and sinister voice. The parting gift from his mentor, was immediately used for Kirei's first step to find the process of his joy. Pushing the blade tip into the back of Tokiomi, the politician widened his eyes as he felt a sudden pain from his back. Unable to breath, he only managed to turn his head around and confirm what happened, but that was all. He saw Kirei with a sinister smile he has never seen before, and then he stopped breathing, still standing. Spoiler: click to toggle

BGM Kirei let go of the blade as Tokiomi fell onto the ground on his chest with a thud. Red blood splattered out from his red suit seeping into the high quality carpet dying the beige colored wool deep crimson. Tokiomi's parting gift to his apprentice, the Azoth Sword was still stuck in his back. His dying face was ugly, like a strangled chicken still with his eyes opened. Kirei closed his eyes and prayed like a priest by making the cross gesture, though the sneer did not disappear. "My mentor, just like everyone that seems to have trusted me, you never understood me..." he gave his last words to his most "respected" teacher. The door swung open as Gilgamesh walked in and leaned on the wall, looking at his partner dead he felt nothing but a peculiar sense of amusement. "Hahahahaha, Kirei...finally you resulted into killing your own mentor for your joy. But in the end you still fail to entertain me Tokiomi, what a boring person. Look at this dead face like a pig..." Gilgamesh kicked Tokiomi's corpse for a few moments, then looked at Kirei with a wide grin. "On the other hand, Kirei...you never cease to surprise me. How do you feel betraying someone that trusted you so much they were even willing to leave their daughter in your hands?" Gilgamesh walked up to the shelves and grabbed a bottle of wine and two glasses. Removing the cork he poured the high quality red wine into both cups and walked back up to Kirei, handing him one of it. Taking the glass, Kirei just looked at the red red liquor, in contrast to his mentor's corpse lying there in a puddle of red as well. "This is not right, it seems like this trial did not show me the clear process of my joy..." Kirei shook his head, denying something about this murder. "Ho? Is that so? But now that youre entrusted to all of Tokiomi's wealth and social standing, why not try to use that and experience some lewd joy? Like getting some girls with all that money?" Gilgamesh tempted, trying to drag Kirei into the life he was having for the past few weeks. His own nation's population was rather thin, therefore Gilgamesh only had so much fun while being isolated from the Earth sphere. Walking around Tokiomi's dead body, he walked up next to Kirei and held his wine glass up front. "Hmph, but is this fine with you, Gilgamesh? Now that I have murdered my mentor, that means your contract with him no longer is valid, wouldnt it trouble your nation if you cannot find a new contract to begin your business with the colonies?" Kirei looked at what Gilgamesh wanted to do, apparently it was a sign of cooperation the golden king is willing to show for now. Kirei held his glass up as well. "I dont mind, not like hes the last person in the universe that can sign a contract. Dont you think so too, Kirei?" Gilgamesh clashed his glass with the priest's, cheers. Eying his new partner with tempting eyes to sign a new contract now that Kirei can officially manage everything Tokiomi had, and that his daughter was still far too young to be able to understand anything about it. Kirei started to smile again, trying to hold his laugh in, but he could not do so and bursted out into laughter again. "Hahahahahaha! I see, so thats your point. So be it!" Kirei laughed and emptied his glass of wine in one slurp as he enjoyed every bit of it with his tastes. "Then I hope you really dont regret it then, the King of Heroes!" Kirei shouted out loud, agreeing to the partnership between the two. Gilgamesh nodded and emptied his glass as well, dropping the glass onto the floor as it shattered into bits. Kirei did the same as the two walked out of the room. Giving his mentor's corpse one last glance, Kirei walked out of the room as it started to burn in fire. Regardless of quality, every wine tasted the same to me all these years. However, it was the first time I have consumed such tasty liquor. Such gorgeous wine, how nice would it be to be able to taste it again. Yes, this is joy, I am obliged to understand my joy... Edited by Sunrise, Sep 16 2012, 10:27 AM.

UC 0080, January 10, 9:20 PM Sao Paulo It has been over a week since the end of the war, the Federation is quickly reformatting the structure of the Colonies but also the internal structure of their own government. Most of the soldiers that survived the One Year War remained in the military and began to enjoy their eventual long periods of peace. There has been rumors that a special task force will be formed under Vice General Sanchez to prevent another war from happening, by monitoring the Colonies. Amongst the many squadrons that were disbanded and then reorganized, the former Argama crew gained special attention amongst the high officials of the Federation. Noa that has gotten a promotion appeared fairly dissatisfied with the treatment that he got after such a rough and tragic war. Thinking of where to go, he eventually stumbled upon a bar in the dark alleys of Sao Paolo, the largest city of Brazil, where the Federation HQ Jaburo was located. Pushing open the door, the bell rang and it was surprisingly empty, with only one person at the counter. Noa recognized that person, his short blond hair and casual looks did not stand out, and Noa would not have noticed him if he was not a pilot that use to be by his side. "Yo captain! What brings you here? Have a seat!" Mu patted on the high stool next to him. Noa smiled and sighed, hopping onto the stool he looked around the empty bar. There was only him and Mu, and the bartender that was cleaning glasses. "Caipirinha" Noa ordered and put rested his head on his chin, enjoying the classical jazz music from the jukebox in the corner. Since Noa was in space for so long, he still has not gotten use to the gravity of Earth just yet, he then gave a bored face and started talking. "Well, I'm no longer your captain anymore. What brings you here?" he asked back as Mu took a drink from his glass, the cold ice cube lightly touched the cup as it let out a soothing harmony that every drinker likes to hear. "Forced to stay in the army, thats all. Just like captain Noa, I got a nice little promotion to Lieutenant. Yep, this is the least amount of compromise theyre willing to give to keep us inside the army...especially our crew...and they decided to put me as an escort pilot of a transport squad, damn." Mu cursed, Noa was silent as he was thinking what that actually meant. In the meantime his cocktail was prepared as the bartender slid it over to him across the counter. "And also, in many ways youre still a captain too, 2 ranks promotion isnt something the Federation give to just anyone, they seem to especially want to keep anyone that has any relationship to Newtypes..." Mu continued, Noa finally understood why all the former Argama crew were under heavy surveillance if they tried to leave the army. Seeing Mu pointing at his newly obtained badge, Noa took a glance at it and sighed. "You know what they say? The Federation are paranoia of Newtypes or just Spacenoids in general, how true this rumor is I dont even want to know. But my position isnt even decided yet, probably im going to be a captain on a third rate ship or something...but thats that, and its not up to us to decide. So why not just spread our wings wide and relax when we can" Noa threw back all his negative thoughts and picked up his glass, cheers with Mu he only left one regret in his heart. In the end, you two never returned. If you were here, I wonder how badly you would have been treated. Allen, I dont know where you are and what happened to you, but I just hope you live your life the way you desire, treasure what you have and show the correct way of mankind to others... |

UC 0084, February 4 Years have passed since the end of the One Year War, despite all these times, people are still terrorized by the deep scars the largest war in history have left behind. The official disbandment of CRADLE and the restructuring of the Supreme Council of the Side 3 was well under way, mostly stable. The Federation has imposed an order for all the Sides to form a colonial union, but mainly it was imposed to more easily monitor the movement of each Side. Power has shifted from the Federation to its Autonomous Special Task Force Blue Cosmos, lead by Admiral Sanchez. The newly formed Blue Cosmos quickly gotten onto their task of inspecting colonies, though people has yet to realize the new darkness that is rising from behind the scenes. Side 6 Capital: Baldur Bay "Hey, have you heard that the Federation's new special corps, what was it called...Blue Cosmos, yes that. They have passed a law to move all the Sides to new Lagrangian points, Side 6 is going to be moved to L5 it seems like..." a casual young man with spiky white hair and dark tanned skin threw a flop of newspaper onto the table as he finished the last drops of his coffee. Grabbing his bright red jacket, he slipped it over his distinctive black vest that showed the linings of his perfectly developed muscles. Putting the used cup in the sink he grabbed a sports bag. "Ah, yeah, they did say something like that? Well, its the Federation...you never know what they are thinking. But somehow I have a bad feeling about this Blue Cosmos..." an elegant young lady was tying two black ribbons on her long dark brown hair in front of her mirror. There was a report card lying around on the table, it was not titled as if some sort of secret document, but the pages were opened. Kanda Rin, Age 14, Archer Emiya, Age 22 and so on. The personal profiles of the two were written clearly on the report cards, but the subjects are clearly not from any ordinary school. CQC, Firearms, Explosives, Infiltrate, Hacking, MS pilot, military terms were listed one after another, and beside each box, it was filled in with A+ for both their reports. "Well, we just have to follow the flow. Lets go Emiya, we're going to be late!" she smiled and grabbed her bag as well. Two hearts, reaching for the heavens. Granada A middle schooler, around the age of 14 or 15 was walking back home, taking the usual paths home. One side of his cheek was bruised after being punched, he looked down on the ground while walking. "Damn, why did it turn out like this..." he sighed as he turned. The teenager had dark green hair and eye colors matching him, he was not very tall even for people of the same age, wearing a white school uniform and had a backpack he rubbed his face in pain. "Bastards..." he cursed a bit as something that stood in front of him stopped him in his paths like a wall. "Hey brat, what are you sulking about?" a large man, very muscular, looming over 2 meters tall blocked the teenager's path like a meat wall. He wore an XXL white T-shirt and XXL blue jeans, while tall and large his face is somewhat scarred with wrinkles to show how often he smiles and laughs. He had short red hair and thick eyebrows, but also a rather rough voice. Grabbing the teenager's collar from behind and picked him up like a small animal he smiled. "Dont worry, Waver! Did anyone bully you? If so, the King of Conquerors Iskander will punish them!" he laughed. "Ah! Let go you macho idiot! Let me down!" Waver kicked around while being picked up from the ground as the self proclaimed king put him back down on the ground again. "Nothing happened! Bye! You go home and play your conquest games, you otaku!" Waver shouted back and stormed into his house, Iskander laughed out loud again and walked into his house as well. The king and his servant, standing up against fate. ??? A young girl closed her eyes while sitting on an experimental chair. She had a helmet that looked like Saturn's rings of stardust around her head and detectors stuck all over her body. Her long orange hair was tied back as she wore a white pajama like those of a hospital patient. There were around 10 scientists inside the lab, recording data, detecting signals, and conducting experiments. While no experiment was immoral to any extent, the young girl willingly joined the experiment in exchange for her own free time. "Alright, today we'll end it here! Alice, thanks for your cooperation. At this rate the Psycommu System will be perfected in no time. We'll be counting on you tomorrow too!" one of the scientists encouraged, Alice took off the helmet and bowed, walking to the changing rooms. She put back her normal clothes and slipped on a pair of black leather gloves. Her aqua blue eyes gleamed like jewels in the bright white light of the changing room as she untied her fluffy orange hair that draped down onto her shoulders. She had bandages wrapped tightly around her entire body, quickly putting back a white and purple school uniform on, she grabbed her back and walked out of the lab. One soul seeking her future. Universal Century 0087: January 27 Inside a dark church, lit only by a few candles, a priest standing tall was in front of the alter. He sneered and dropped several cards from a deck onto the ground. "The stage is set, now let the curtains rise..." The gears of destiny, slowly begins to move... ENDING Edited by Sunrise, Sep 16 2012, 12:09 PM.
