Okay there are going going to be two parts to this topic. The first rumours for 6th edition 40k said to hit us at the end of 2012 and the second will be changes I'd like to see. Rumours: I am not going to retyped what has already been typed I am far to tried for that but I will add a link to the Bell Of Lost Souls, their information is pretty reliable http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2012/01/40k-6th-edition-rumored-rules-in.html What I'd like to see: 1. Being able to take an armour save if you fail a cover save and taking invon saves if you fail an armour save. Well this just makes sense, if you fail a cover save you still have your armour still in the way. A smart soldier would not say my armour is so much better then this cover so I will leap in front of this shot, that is damn retard (thanks GW). You also pay highly for invon saves so you should always be able to take them after all other saves are failed. 2. Two separate vehicle penetration charts, they did this in 4th edition and I loved it when they took it away in 5th edition it was one of the biggest things that has put me off 40k apart from the power creep in all the army books (a 40k repeat of what ruined 7th edition fantasy). I liked the fact that you had more problems to deal with having six results for a glance and six results for a penetrating hit add some variety to the what happened to your vehicles and sometimes made them a liability (Sometimes). 3. Some solid fluff unfortunately the change over from 4th to 5th there was so much fluff changed. Really pissed me off I didn't mind the 4th edition fluff but the new fluff rarely makes any sense (If you get passed the sheer amount of spelling mistakes). 4. I want to see GW set up some fluff for another race, I don't know what race I would have GW bring in but I wouldn't mind seeing another outer galaxy influence or maybe a old race resurrected Eldar Extidites maybe. 50% of GW's codex's are power armour codex's meaning GW y u have so many space marines? 5. Better scenarios, I'd like to see at least 6 missions that go along with deployment like in warhammer 8th edition. Makes the game less random and you only need 1 die roll. Thats about it why don't you tell me what you'd like to see in the 6th edition 40k rule book? |

hmmm... that's a good one 1. a different set of results for glance and pen, i agree with that one as well as more scenarios 2. more whine, less cheese 3. the multi saves would be great, if a little op (imagine terminators with stormshields in cover) 4. lore that makes sense 5. lore that is consistent with itself (it's a big ask, i know) 6. actual backstory for those with nothing to do with the imperium 7. someone who can spell (one of the pages in the space marine codes actually spells "spac marines" instead) 8. a titan (or at least an equivalent) for each race, not just most of them 9. an entire table for a perils of the warp event (with the possibility of daemons appearing under the other teams control... )10. blast templates modifying cover for future rolls (possibly adding to it or blowing it to bits) and forests being ignited by flamers next batter up? |

I'd also like to see flamers get the 'gets hot special rule' if you have seen space marine you should remember the final fight scene when the leaking flamer explodes. That'll be good but you don't need to roll to hit with a flame so if you roll three or more ones when rolling to wound an enemy thats when you take your armour save and the flamer shot has no affect on the target unit.
