BASIC INFORMATION CHARACTER NAME: Erec Branson GENDER: Male HEIGHT: 6'1” WEIGHT: 190 lbs AGE: 37 EYES: Grey HAIR: Brown, Greying TITLES, ETC.: Knight-Errant, The Broken One, Crusader OCCUPATION: Hunter, Freebooter L/R HAND: Ambidextrous HEALTH Unless you count the missing bits of body, then Erec Branson is perfectly fine. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Erec Branson is an imposing man. He stands a little of six feet in height and appears to be a lean effective machine. He wears shoulder length hair of a greying brown and an trimmed and cultivated beard of a color to match. His remaining natural eye is a sea grey, while the other was removed by troublesome “game” and was replaced with a cybernetic eye (though it serves no function other than as a replacement for what was lost) which gleams red from behind the low pulled fedora and upturned trench coat collar Branson likes to hide behind. If one were to view Branson from a distance he would be indistinguishable from a 20th Century detective. Of course up close one can see the metallic left hand, and right face (from the cheekbone up). Erec is deeply embarrassed about his replacements and takes great measures to cover them up (hence the trenchcoat and fedora). He always is wearing a sword scabbard with his trademark blade in it, as well as a holster for an old Colt Walker he found in the ruins of of the outskirts. ABILITIES AND SKILLS STRENGTH: Branson is a strong man, and can take most of the scum that clog up the outskirts and the lower city, but he is no body builder. (8/8) Sabre: Never without his trademark Sabre, he has become very skilled in its use, some might say he is a proper artist when using it. (12/10) Shock Stick: He is loathe to use it on his targets and as such it sees little use. (6/6) Unarmed Combat: Branson knows how to wrassle an opponent to the ground. (10/8) DEXTERITY: Branson relies heavily on speed and while he is no Olympic Triathlete he has managed to outrun many would be arrests who turned out to be too much of a match. (10/8) SMG: Being a house clearer in his days with the City Patrol, he knows his way around an SMG. (10/10) Revolver (Colt Walker): Branson can aim these well, the issue is keeping on target despite the massive recoil the handcannon known as the colt walker dishes out. (8/8) Revolver (Modern): After having dealt with a Walker, he can deal with modern revolvers well. (10/8) Quickdraw: Branson is a fast gun, a really fast gun. (10/10) WILLPOWER: Branson is tougher than the average bear, but replacement of some of his flesh with metal has weakened his resolve and some would say his will to live. (8/6) Wound Resistance: Branson can grit through pain like a pro. (8/8) Survival Instinct: A noticeable weak point of Bransons personality. He has regularly been known to throw himself into nigh suicidal situations, and this probably has gotten worse in recent times. (4/4) INTELLIGENCE: Branson is one of the smarter bounty hunters out there, though sometimes he does stupid things in the name of his 'crusade'. (8/8) Street Smarts: Branson is very good at figuring out where things are, and what wheels need greasing to get things done in the undercity. (10/10). Computer Programming: A skill he picked up while working closely with a friend in the patrol who was in the technical department. He's nothing big, but given time he can accomplish most tasks. (10/8) Dealing with “Ramona”: Branson is very skilled at dealing with Ramona, as a chip, as data, and as a person. (12/10) PERCEPTION: He has survived this long because of skills in combat, not avoiding it. (6/6) Hearing: The loss of one of his ears has made hearing much more difficult. (4/4) INFLUENCE: Being an ugly man (with the biomechanical chunk of face and all), and lacking social graces, its surprising Erec makes any friends, even less so partners. (6/4) Intimidation: Branson has a reputation for killing men in nothing more than a righteous fury, and is often not taking up the “alive” bounties. Given his appearance and actions he is a very intimidating man to be at the mercy of. (10/8) Courtship: Branson is utterly embarrassed about his appearance, and therefore is too shy to really attract any mates, much to his chagrin. (4/4) PSI: Branson is a latent esper with an affinity for machines. (6/4) Relationship (With the Ramona AI): Branson cares very much about Ramona as the only friend he has had for many a year now, and will do anything to protect her (and eventually get a proper body built for her). As a result he is the person her cynical tastes respect. (10/10) Reputation (City Government, Police, and Administration): Erec Branson is viewed as a no nonsense task master who can get the job done regardless of the danger to himself, and is regarded highly by certain circles within the city government. (8/8) Reputation (City Underground): Erec Branson is widely regarded as a fearless whackjob who will ruthlessly hunt down whomever is on his hit list. He is feared and respected, while also being hated. (10/8) Reputation (Corporate City): Erec Branson is not well known by the Corporate Circles, largely because Branson is too concern with his crusade to bother with the Corporate World for some extra money. (6/4) ITEMS IN USE MELEE WEAPONS: Sabre element of Ramona, Shock Stick (Non-Lethal), Brass Knuckles, RANGED WEAPONS: SMG element of Ramona, Modified Colt Walker Revolver ARMOR: Patrol Vest (8/6) HEADGEAR: Fedora (4/4) OTHER ITEMS: Trenchcoat, 8 45 round Straight Clips for SMG, 3 Quick Loaders for .44 minie balls (with powder packs), 18 loose percussion caps.
