Make your own inexpensive mints by leaving blobs of toothpaste to dry on a window sill. Use striped toothpaste to make humbugs.

Talking of mints, previously I had been paining washers with tippex to make my own Polos. The taste was not quite right but a packets lasts for ages,

Small (repair) washers and various colour highlighting pens.

The 'piece de resistance' surely is a chewey mint - a rubber tap washer dipped in talcum powder and left in the sun to dry. :blink:

Remember liquorice shoe-laces, these can be recreated by eating shoe-laces. Similarly now that ‘Candy Cigarettes’ are frowned upon, one can re-create this simple childhood pleasure for the modern generation of kids by giving a child a packet of Lambert and Butler with a panini sticker slipped inside..

I've actually given my nephew a pay-as-you-go mobile phone with three numbers on it - The House of Commons, London Zoo and Arsenal Football CLub.

I'm waiting for him to cause havoc.
