I don't think it will explode. If it does I'm in the shit.

Lovely solids in there now - one block. I expect it to start sinking some time tomorrow.

has it still got the sign on it though?

On the face of it, not much change from yesterday but a slight squeeze confirmed we have real solidification now. I would not go as far as to raise the 'We Have Cheese' flag - yet.

The lid has now started to bulge. I am wondering whether to let in a small amount of air as a precautionary measure but am fearful of upsetting the experiment. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

how much trouble would you get in if the milk exploded??? if the answer is a lot, then i recommend letting air in, but only as a last resort.

i await news of a sour milk/cheesy explosion in dorset.

perhaps it is now time to introduce two things very scientific...

1. A Bucket
2. A Carrier bag.

But the bottle in the bag, then leave it in the bucket. That way, if it does go off, there will be a "controlled" explosion.

Plus if you open it, it'll stink like hell and that could be the end of the experiment.

That's a mighty fine idea.

I used to do some marketing on ebay (one of my million jobs).

Say summat like, "A once in a lifetime opportunity to buy the actual milk used in the world famous VBM Forum, 'Milkwatch' experiment. The source of much speculation and excitement could be yours to own. Don't let this opportunity pass you by!!!!!"
