Greetings, everyone. For a while now, magic has been a great issue for the members of the community. We within the staff have debated and argued and attempted to come to some sort of a conclusion when it concerns magic-- and we've decided to have you, the members of the [Vampire] community, voice your opinions on how you feel magic should be handled in the RP. The following are a few systems we have produced. If one catches your eye and you favor it, state the number like so. 1 (7 votes) 2 (2 Votes) 3 (6 votes) If you have a design of your own that you'd like to put forward, don't hesitate in doing so. Please read over the following systems.
As stated before, you may select one of the three options or you may put forward one of your own. Feel free to voice your opinions, your ideas and the like. Thank you for your contributions. Edited by Bass, May 26 2014, 02:41 AM.

3. I believe this will prevent combat encounters from becoming spell-slinging tournaments. I think we can go further than the magic user only being able to cast a few spells their entire lives, though. There are small spells like lighting candles with a wave of the hand, making a sound from across a room, and other things like this that I don't think should be too heavily restricted. I know in dungeons and dragons these things are referred to as "cantrips." However, when it comes to the big spells like manipulating peoples' minds or bodies, or highly destructive spells, there should be restrictions preventing them from being overpowered or overused. |

3 -- Heavy Restrctions. In my opinion, system three allows for everyone to explore their interest in magic that adds character depth. Not everyone will know the same spells/techniques which also adds a unique touch to every character. It keeps magic rare, and so characters who wield it are regarded as significant to the roleplay. I believe that from the time that an individual is an acolyte/fledgling/bloodborne, they begin their path in their desired selection of magic if they choose to become a mage. |

1 -- Current System * As stated. This needs someone to be taught and i love the apprenticeship kind of thing. Although i don't have hatred on other choices. I felt like the Current System would be fine and be used in both good and bad terms. We, basically have roleplayers who are abusive even though they don't already have magic and with this system. We can ensure that the people who would have administrative approval to taught the said magic is good enough to determine the applicant if they would abuse it or not. Just an opinion for me, Don't be mad D; |
